    One of the major weaknesses of Republicans is that they seem unable to grasp the idea that the majority of Americans are not right wing nuts like them. They are going into these next elections with candidates derived from Primary challenges or the threat of same. They are headed for a rude awakening

    Republicans can't be 'saved'.

    Even if they still supported Trump in a proportion of 90%, their electoral weight is decreasing year after year.

    It is the opinion of independents that matters.

    And fortunately, they are the ones who allowed Trump to be defeated and who will prevent this criminal from coming back.

    I agree that most republicans have gone off the deep end with Trump, but I wouldn't say Trump doesn't have influence. Unfortunately it is a bent philosophy.

    I agree, but right now inflation is the number one issue and Biden needs to address it better. Obama had a critique that I thought was spot on, Biden needs to be addressing more of the popular issues rather than his own agenda.

    Well, we don't charge people based on polling in this country.

    Personally, I think there's a much better criminal case to be made for his actions OUTSIDE of the events on 1/6, than his speech and (in)actions on the day of....

    However, I suspect 99% of this country thinks Garland is not the guy to get this done...

    The Trump boogeyman is all they've got.

    Without that distraction, the public might pay attention to the cratering economy, and the left's psychotic obsession with killing unborn babies and grooming grade school children, and the left certainly can't let that happen.

    Are you really asking about the stock market? The stock market that just had the worst April in decades and in some experts view, worst performance since the Great Depression.

    And let's hope the Democrats put Biden back up there. By then, the drool on his chin will be obvious.

    That is, if this country makes it to 2024.

    Well if the Oath Keepers unsuccessfully tried to contact DT, that's certainly grounds to prosecute him /sarcasm. The Oath Keepers are a crazy militia group that has nothing to do with the Trump administration. That said, I do pray Trump's ego doesn't suck him back into running again.

    It's certainly grounds to get Trump in front of a grand jury to explain the seditious acts that never would have occurred if Trump acted like an adult and accepted reality.

    Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. Trump should be hauled before a grand jury because a militant conspiracy group that he's never talked with and has nothing to do with and was crazy before he ever came into office, found an excuse and/or opportunity to behave badly.
