This is going to be my avatar eventually. Until they fix the glitch maybe I'll just put this picture in every post I make. I'm sure the mods will love that.
I'd post mine if I knew how to, but I might risk not being able to get my current avatar back . . . which I eventually managed to do way back when, and more by luck than expertise. As I've said, I couldn't believe it when after all the blood, sweat and tears I'd given it, it suddenly appeared on the forum.
If you tried uploading another avatar now it wouldn't work. If you deleted your current avatar in the process you'd not be able to get it back. The problem is with the system on this forum and it's not just this forum having the issue. The platform PF uses is used by many other forums. Apparently that platform made some changes to their system and it's causing issues with all those web sites using the platform. Disclaimer- I'm not a computer expert. What I just wrote came from what I read after researching the issue online. If I'm wrong don't send me angry messages.

I want to continue to be respected for my words, and not viewed as a sex object. Serously, I don't feel safe putting my putting my picture out for the public to see after making non-negative comments about Trump. I don't want to end up being tortured on facebook if I'm recognized. It could happen.
Good for you. I really believe that it rots your brain. Really. I don't do face book either, but lots of other people do and they might find it funny to harass someone who disagrees with them and make a video of it. The left has gone completely bonkers.

But right now, something is wrong with the picture posting system. You can't post pictures from your computer but if you have a photobucket or something, you can post pictures from another site.
I bike as often as possible. This is me three months ago at Split Rock, about a half hour ride north of my house. I can ride my bike through that rock. It was split by a glacier retreating millions of years ago.
Thus the subjectivity of perspective. I am 51. I am also a armchair philosopher who loves to study the nature of reality in which perspective is a part of said study. I too find that how I perceive others by their writings is often far removed from who or what they really are. As a relativist I like to say that how one judges another says more about the judge than the judged, this applies to my judgments of others as well.
You certainly do strike me as a very philosophical person. Had you ever gone through formal schooling or are you completely self-taught?
Self taught. I turned to philosophy a few years ago in hopes that I could find answers to some troubling questions, which I have. Philosophy has helped me to better understand myself and those around me.
