So, it's off-season and international friendlies aren't that fun by themselves. I've got forum credits and nothing to do with them, so why not bet them?

I'll bet any match, any transfer, or pretty much anything. Everything is on the honor system, but you will be viewed with intense scorn by your peers if you renege on your wager.

Anyone? I've got about 5000 credits!

[if this is illegal, bite me]

What are we going to bet on? The U-21 world cup starts soon. The Argentine and Brazilian leagues are also going on, in fact Brazil just started. Brazil is also quite interesting, as it is relatively unpredictable. I think something like 19 teams have made the copa Libertadores over the last 10 years.

So what games we going to bet on?

Pick one, I'll find odds and we'll see if we can get a few going. These credits have got to go!

England - Spain U21 is today, right? How about that?

I bet 2011 credits that Gervinho (LOSC) will end up in Arsenal next Summer.

Dang, did he announce? I heard he wanted to go to England, but I thought Liverpool and some relegation-fighter were also on the chase...

Not, yet. Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle are interested. It's not a done deal. He's an extremely talented player!

He's very good. He won't lose the ball every 5 seconds like Walcott.

Let's see... He's French, he's talented, he's young— where else could he go?! I'm not putting a bet on that!

He's not French, he plays for Ivory Coast; but he's young and talented, indeed:mrgreen:

Spain wins by one goal (1-0, 2-1, etc).

    2011 credits!

He's French at heart; like Drogba.

Have any view on the U21 tomorrow?

EDIT: you do have a view, dang I'm slow.

Yeah my logic isn't so great; but then again he was too expensive for those cheapos at the Emirates.

Don't worry, Liverpool apparently will only sign marginally talented English players for 3-5 times their real value!!

If I had my way, Liverpool would never sign an English player ever again, unless they are young and cheap. English players are massively overpriced, and not that good. I hope Liverpool sign Gervinho, Hazard, Sanchez, or Juan Mata. However, all the talk is that they are going to get Stewart Downing!!

Didn't realize this wasn't tomorrow, it's a few days— but okay.

BAD ODDS. NEED TO FIND BETTER SOURCE.

Sound good? I looked it up a little quickly.

LOL. Gervinho? Hazard? Sanchez? Mata? You're going to have to rip off another club with Carroll to get those names.

Eden Hazard will stay in Lille, I'm ready to bet on that. Gervinho could go to Man City, too.

    As to Liverpool...

When you walk through the storm
    Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
    There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

    Walk on, through the wind
    Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
    And you'll never walk alone
    You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
    And you'll never walk alone
    You'll never walk alone

We have plenty of money, that isn't the problem. We just spent 20 million on Jordan Henderson, an unproven central midfielder(which is probably are greatest strength). But he is young, and has potential. If we can spend that much on a player we don't need, I am confident we have plenty to spend on an attacking player. My fear is they are going to waste it, by massively overpaying for an overrated English player.

Money is kind of a problem. Henderson is a great player, imho.

Ya, I have not seen enough of Henderson to complain about him. I have only seen him play a few times, and did not pay attention to him at all. So if Kenny and Commoli think he is that good, I trust them. However, I HAVE seen Downing play many times, and he is not good enough for what we need!! He is a squad player in a top 4 side, we already have those. We need impact players for a top 4 side, Downing is not that.

We have new owners, who have loads of money. They bought the club for cut rate price. We will spend 70 million this summer, if I had to guess. That is plenty to get an impact left-winger/attacking-midfielder and a top class left-back, on top of Henderson and Connor Wickham who is probably coming as well. My fear is we are going to spend 20-25 million of Downing, when we can get a vastly superior continental player for the same price.

£70m down the tubes. The best players are £10-15m, and I don't think Liverpool is going to get them. I didn't think they'd spend that big, even after getting a ridiculous amount for Torres.

Yeah, I think I looked up the odds from 2009. I usually use Will Hill for it; but this works nice too!

So, up for the France-Poland game?
