It's too bad that I really need to work today to try and keep my company going in this crappy Obama economy. November 6th can't get here fast enough!

Biden hails middle class at wealthy fundraiser

Vice President Joe Biden addressed 87 wealthy Democrats last night attending a fundraiser at the home of Sen. John Kerry in Georgetown. As they dined on grass-fed New York strip steaks and white truffle mashed potatos underneath a outdoor tent, Biden criticized Republicans for being out of touch.

“These guys don’t have a sense of the average folks out there,” Biden said according to the pool report, “They don’t know what it means to be middle class.”

87 guests paid a minimum of $10,000-per-couple to attend the dinner.

Michelle to Lead Delegation to London Olympics

Michelle Obama will lead the U.S. delegation to the London 2012 Summer Olympics, declaring that she will use the event to promote her “Let’s Move” kids fitness program.

From the White House:

“In the months ahead, I’ll be talking to Americans all across the country to encourage even more young people to tap into that Olympic spirit and turn their inspiration into action,” said Mrs. Obama. “As the Olympic creed states, ‘the most important thing … is not to win, but to take part.’ And that doesn’t just mean sitting and watching, it means getting up and getting active as well. I hope we use the upcoming games as motivation for all of us to get up and get moving.”

The White House was careful to note that Michelle, who has been criticized for her lavish vacations, will not be the only first lady to have led an Olympic delegation overseas.

Other First Ladies that have led a Presidential Delegation to the Olympic Games include First Lady Laura Bush to the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy and then-First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton to the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.

The London games will be held July 27 – August 12.

Obama’s expensive night out — at taxpayer expense, of course

While Republicans were anxiously awaiting the results of primary elections Tuesday night, President Barack Obama was relaxing courtside at a first-round NCAA men’s basketball game between Western Kentucky University and Mississippi Valley State. According to the Washington Times, Obama flew with British Prime Minister aboard Air Force One to attend the game in Dayton, Ohio.

So what did Obama‘s boys’ night out cost U.S. taxpayers?

At a cost of roughly $180,000 per hour to operate Air Force One, the trip cost taxpayers at least $365,000, not including the staff costs and other expenses.

Geesh, hope they at least paid for their own hotdogs.

Obama to appear on Cartoon Network
March 14, 2012

At the opening of a new anti-bullying documentary to air on Cartoon Network this weekend, President Barack Obama will deliver a message on the subject, according to the AP.

The documentary, titled “Speak Up,” is part of the Cartoon Network’s “Stop Bullying: Speak Up” campaign. Other big names to appear in it include Tennis star Venus Williams, retired professional basketball player Chris Webber and NASCAR’s Joey Logano.

The film premiers Sunday at 5:30 EST.

President Obama to Visit an Oil Field!!

With gasoline prices marching north, President Obama next week will take a break from worshipping the sun and putting his finger to the wind when he actually highlights energy projects that provide lots of energy.

The White House is desperate to repair the damage being done to Obama’s campaign by the price at the pump, and aides have suddenly begun portraying him as a great apostle of oil and gas drilling.

In what may go down as one of the worst political blunders of his presidency, Obama late last year bowed to environmentalists’ pressure and rejected the Keystone pipeline’s route through part of Nebraska, delaying by at least a year a major new source of oil just as gasoline prices started going through the roof.

Wednesday, he’ll be in Carlsbad, New Mexico to inspect oil and gas production fields located on federal lands.

Obama will be in Oklahoma Thursday – yes, Oklahoma – to “discuss his Administration’s commitment to improving and supporting the infrastructure that helps us leverage our domestic resources,” the White House said.

I assume these are code words for the infrastructure to get fossil fuels out of the ground, since he sure ain’t going to Oklahoma for votes. He’s more likely to strike oil.

According to ABC News, Obama will staging a photo op in Cushing, Oklahoma, which is on the Keystone pipeline project’s “southern route,” of which the administration approves.

Of course, the two day trip also features a solar facility and a meeting with people conducting “some of the country’s most advanced energy-related research and development.”

But the White House is clearly eager to show that Obama loves the non-advanced stuff too, since that’s what the country is going to be running on for the foreseeable future.

We need to make sure President Obama doesn't meddle in the free market ... unless the market is gas.

 

Gas isn't the problem... oil is the problem. Maybe he'll wave his magic wand and make it all better.

If he's going to "inspect" oil production sites, he better wear his old clothes and gloves. Don't want those pretty hands getting messed up, or anything.

Scrambling. That's what he's doing now. Wonder if he keeps a log of lies, so he can check them periodically.

Their oldest daughter is vacationing in Mexico with 12 classmates and 25 Secret Service agents. Guess mommy didn't have time to chaparone this year's trip... too busy feathering hubby's nest.
