Anyone who’s seen a Pride Parade knows there are many things in them that aren’t child friendly. I’m sure there are some tamer ones but a lot of them are exactly what we’ve all seen. Barely dressed dudes dancing in ways that are NOT appropriate for kids.

Ah, so you didn’t even review your own source (a YouTube video), didn’t try to find the bill in question or any news articles to reference the bill or response from organizers and posted it anyway with your own opinion based on — not watching the video.

    How laughable
Since you feel these events should be banned because men are shirtless, drag queens are overdressed and dancing while their parents are in attendance — what do you feel should happen at the places of worship that actually raped children?

I did watch it, just not the entire thing. You claim its a bad source? So are the videos he's showing of these things really happening fake? Do you claim them to be CGI or something? STRANGE! You seem very intent on protecting this practice. DOUBLE STRANGE

as to your last point, what's that have to do with it? It isn't like the vatican is trying to produce a bill to make dirty priests a protected class. Strange you would even try to us that for comparison. TRIPLE STRANGE

I support parents making the decision to police their own children.
    Just like with Mardi Gras.

The thread title is also a false premise. It wasn’t cancelled because they wanted children to be there — it was canceled because they could not guarantee they could keep children out.

But that would require nuance and integrity

Actually religious organizations are the only entity that do not have to report child abuse and they have openly fought against allowing rape claims against them to go forward.

You are right, they don’t even remotely compare to overdressed men dancing.

Your “disgust” for drag while shrugging what the church is doing shows what is actually disgusting. Evil even.

"Grooming" is used to denote preparing for decisions concerning sexual orientation.

What you describe isn't that. And, I already made it clear that I'm opposed to what you are talking about.

NOBODY on the left is interested in changing the sexual orientation of kids.

It's the right wing that thinks that is possible.

all you made clear is you want to play word games and try and diminish it by changing the words around. WOW SAD!

Nonsense. You said they teach twerking. I said I'm WITH YOU on that. I'm interested in education, not teaching girls to twerk or encouraging them to spend their time on rally squads.

    That's not word games.

What I'm against is failing to teach that two mommies is just fine, that some students are sexually attracted to their own sex, and can have permanent fully satisfying relationships, that puberty is confusing and requires patience, that those who aren't white Christian kids are absolutely, fully equal in all ways, and must be accepted throughout our society as such.

The foundation of that is our Constitution - as it if isn't what Jesus preached with his behavior as a man.

Your rush to judge people you don't know anything about is rather disturbing. I love watching drag shows, but they do tend to be sexually charged and are not appropriate for CHILDREN (you keep dancing around the main point but thats OK, i'll remind you EVERY TIME)

So you feel that you or the state should decide for parents what is appropriate for children?

So if the state deems religious grooming and sexual exploitation is too much for them, you would support the same rules for them as you are here, correct?

And my judgement is spot on — notice the second portion of the sentence you didn’t highlight.

I don't know what you mean by "'religious grooming". As far as I know priests, nuns, rabbis, imams and satanists aren't going around to schools and putting on sexual performances for them. You also seem extremely confused being that this isn't a religion thread. But for proving my points like 10x over, I thank you and encourage you to keep up the good work.

Why don't we move girls from learning to wave pompoms and asses and have them do community service?

The sport of cheerleading is the best you got as a rebuttal? Damn, this thread really is gold and the responses from the left speak VOLUMES

How you could be that confused about religious grooming is astounding.

Today, the government hires Christians who then teach the Jewish, Muslim, atheist, and other children how to reject their parents faith and become Christians.

You were worried about teaching twerking.

    NOW you defend it?

Cool story, where are the videos of this epidemic you speak of? Since this has been happening so much longer than tranny burlesque shows for elementary schools have I expect it should be easy for you to find 10 videos of it for every one video of the ACTUAL topic of this thread

I think its super misogynistic to speak negatively of a female sport. You know that isn't what they are doing. They are making pyramids and doing acrobatic things and doing them with actual clothes on.

You actually want to compare this

    To this??

You are a riot! Also, I'm quite sure CHEERLEADERS are not going to schools and putting little kids on their laps and teaching them tweaking lessons

I can't wait to see your next post! This is epic! :roflol:

Here is how it starts. First reduce the penalty to expose private parts on line to a kid, and down the road they’ll want to reduce the penalty for something more disgusting that’s done in person. Take it to the bank.

If you felt others were proving your points you wouldn’t have the need to dodge every question while feigning Ignorance as to what words mean.

    And you are very welcome

No you haven't been tracked they're lying to you.

And they're going to call you names if you don't let them do what they want. The best way to equip yourself for this is don't care what they call you.

You know better than anyone else how you feel about gay people are trans people or whatever. Don't ever feel the need to defend yourself against claims of homophobia or transphobia or bigotry or whatnot because again you know how you feel.

They really really want kids to be okay with it. To think that it's normal.

It's not enough that they're permitted to do it they need to be permitted to do it in front of your kids.

Oh! It took a while to figure this out. So they cancelled an annual Pride parade to protect themselves from newly instituted law—codes.
It appears they accepted sound advice from counsel given the OP.

We don’t need the state attempting to parent. Granted a Pride parade is Pride parade—they’re rambunctious—-nonetheless a parent should decide what’s appropriate for their children.

Homosexuality is not a virus, but maybe we should implement a mask mandate in schools to soothe troubled parents?

The state shouldn’t be in the business of accommodating ignorance.

Some parents think it's appropriate to pimp out their children.

Don't say gay is the equivalent of a mask against the homosexual virus.

Fascinating that none of the people pathologically obsessed with drag queens & trans people have nothing to say about priests, ministers of religion etc., who have a terrible history of molesting children. They also seem to have nothing to say about the churches who helped groom these children & then shielded these child rapists. I'm willing to bet more than a few of them not only continue to attend churches, but think it is fime to expose children to the dangers posed by priests etc. despite all that has happened.

It is almost as if they don't really care about the fate of children, but need a small, relatively powerless group they can focus their hate on.
