1. SPLC is a discredited source, a front for trial lawyers seeking to poison juries and increase settlements/verdicts, a phone bank that cons money from weak-minded leftists and others via dishonest, alarming rhetoric. After decades of its sham existence, it is finally getting some of its own medicine.

The only point of disagreement I have with the above is that the SPLC ever did any "good work" in its slimy history. It has always been a far left front for trial lawyers and a phone bank and that's about it.

2. McInnes and Proud Boys are backlash to decades of toxic politically correct progressive culture, the ascendance of feminism and its many lie narratives of patriarchy and man-hating, and unanswered LW mob violence. Any narrative that fails to include that necessary context is a lie narrative to be discarded out of hand. Expect more of this type of backlash, as tens of millions of Americans are sick of the excesses of P.C. cultural hegemony, and will engage in their own excesses in fighting against it.

3. Turning to McInnes' comments on slurs, even use of them, he is correct. The progressive left has been successful for decades in hypocritically tossing around hateful labels, while at the same time hyperbolically and transparently characterizing mere insults as signs of institutional hatred that does not exist. The public is realizing that the real purveyors of hate in our society are the progressives, and no amount of SPLC or OP deflection/projection will change that realization.

Hand-wringing over people like McInnes by the LW is the equivalent of Dr. Frankenstein complaining about peasants destroying his property in the process of burning a murderous monster that has been rampaging the countryside for 50 years now.

 

It is an American education system that makes people extremely stupid.
