And yet it was within sentencing guidelines. Personally, I think he should have gotten more.

Just locker room talk, eh? lol

'Enrique Tarrio's mother says her son was a 'political pawn'

    snips:

'Speaking to reporters at the Miami Lakes law firm of Tarrio’s attorney, Nayib Hassan, Zuny Duarte Tarrio asked her son's supporters to send financial assistance to the Tarrio family and called on political leaders to come to her son’s aid. Tarrio's attorneys said they plan to appeal as early as next week.

“Twenty-two years of sentencing seems extremely excessive,” Duarte said. “It’s really hurting the family.”

"Duarte said Tarrio is no longer affiliated with the Proud Boys."

"Duarte compared the riot and her son's texts to people getting "enthusiastic" at a sports event and getting carried away.'

"I think it was just a group of guys just talking and trying to play it out. But there wasn't a plan to that. There was a plan to go to D.C., And do what they usually do," she said.

    Oh, no!
Henry could have been home sleeping in his bed, so he says.
All he had to do was lie about Trump. :roflol:

'Enrique Tarrio tells ALL after sentencing.'

The FEDS asked me “To LIE about President Trump in order to indict him!” Enrique Tarrio exclusively told the Gateway Pundit. “I told them to pound sand, and because I refused to lie about President Trump it cost me twenty-two years of my life.” “The truth is, I could have been home,” said Tarrio. “I could have been home a long time ago. I could be in my warm ass bed right now, laughing at the world, without a problem…and all I had to do in order to do that WAS LIE ABOUT TRUMP. All I had to do was confirm a lie.” “Everything they wanted me to say is fabricated,” said Tarrio. “It was a lie. I refused to sign their work of fiction. I want to be unequivocally clear, I have no connection to President Trump or anyone in his family whatsoever. The connection simply just does NOT exist and never did. They literally wanted me to lie.” This is absolutely outrageous! #FreeEnriqueTarrio #ArrestEveryoneInvolvedInTryingToTakeDownTrump

I have no doubt the prosecution tried to shake down Tarrio, it was confirmed in public reporting by ABCNews that the special counsel was looking into the theory/possibility of a connection between Trump and the Rioters. Similarly to the Russian Collusion story, that would be the grand slam hit for the prosecutors. But there was never physical evidence of a connection, and the difference between Smith and the nit wits of the Russian Collusion, is that Smith gave up on what was unprovable.

Roger Stone was/is best buddies with Tarrio.
    Roger Stone communicates with Trump.
    Not rocket science.

We're not entertaining Russian conspiracy-like theories. If the prosecution had actual evidence, they would've been able to produce it. They did not and could not and as Tario told us, not without trying.

I think Tarrio is full of ****, cause even if he did lie like he was claimed to be asked to do. the DOJ would need evidence and collaboration, not just his word.
Notice how he bull-******* though the audio?
Lotsa accusations without saying what the DOJ wanted him to lie about.

Trump certainly is a criminal thug.
A thug who always had others do his dirty work and fight his battles for him.
Had he not been born with a gold spoon in his mouth he would have met his match decades ago..on a NYC/Queens street.

Tarrio thinks "lienency" means he wouldn't have been charged by the DOJ...lol
He made sure he denied Roger Stone was not a connection he had to Trump. lol
Hope the 2 cheapos , Trump and Stone are paying for your legal defense. lol

'Seeking Link to Trump, Prosecutors Questioned Proud Boys Leader'

' Tarrio said in an interview that prosecutors believed he had communicated with President Donald Trump through intermediaries before the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.'

    snip;

'During that meeting, Mr. Tarrio recounted on Friday in a phone interview from jail, the prosecutors told him that they believed he had communicated in the run-up to the riot with President Donald J. Trump through at least three intermediaries.
The prosecutors, Mr. Tarrio said, offered him leniency if he could corroborate their theory.
Mr. Tarrio said he told them they were wrong. And the discussion with prosecutors — which took place in Miami, Mr. Tarrio’s hometown — apparently went nowhere. Mr. Tarrio was later convicted of seditious conspiracy in federal court in Washington and was sentenced on Tuesday to 22 years in prison.'

    WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—

'After receiving a twenty-two-year sentence, a former Proud Boy acknowledged that he will be in prison until he is an Elderly Boy.

“Yes, I will eventually be an Elderly Boy,” Enrique Tarrio told reporters.

“However, let’s be clear: while we Proud Boys are considering changing the name of our group, ‘Elderly Boys’ is not one of the options in the mix.”

Of course you do. We all know the progressive left want all Trump supporters in prison. Not sure why they don't want the violent gangbangers murdering their way through their 3rd world hellholes they call cities in prison.

Again, none of this is news. The news, if any, is that Jack Smith isn't an idiot and unlike Russia-gate, upon seeing the lack of evidence didn't pursue the matter.

What Jack didn't charge Trump with is obvious, what Tarrio is doing is desperate, pathetic spin.
Tarrio's DOJ accusations are meaningless and that he could have been home in his bed is bull-****.

Let Enrique Tarrio speak for himself...

Tarrio was in a Baltimore hotel that day, not in D.C. He watched events unfold on TV. Here he appears surprised anyone got into the building.

Tarrio said prosecutors disclosed that DOJ's "domestic terrorism policy depends on" the prosecution and conviction/plea of Proud Boys. It became clear during plea negotiations, Tarrio said, "they were planning to do more of this in the future."

Yes, it's obvious that the evidence didn't exist. Hell, as Eastman repeatedly stated: Their plan depended on the OPPOSITE outcome. If Trump really had the ability to coordinate with the crew, he would have let them in on the Eastman plan and told them to not disrupt the proceedings.

But the DOJ wanted to try the theory, no doubt because it would politically fit in Biden's narrative of 'fighting for democracy', but also the use of the judiciary to 'send a message'(all the meanwhile, claiming it's not political.)

I have a bridge of nowhere to sell your honors, it is absurdly political.

More than 500 communications between Tarrio and Lt. Lamond starting in 2019.

MPD Lieutenant Charged with Obstruction of Justice and False Statements
Def Allegedly Leaked Law Enforcement Information to Proud Boys Leader Enrique Tarrio

'WASHINGTON – A District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Lieutenant was arrested today on an indictment charging that he obstructed an investigation into the December 12, 2020 destruction of a Black Lives Matter (BLM) Banner and made false and misleading statements to federal law enforcement about having done so, including that he leaked to Enrique Tarrio, the leader of “The Proud Boys,” the fact that law enforcement had an arrest warrant for him related to that offense.

Shane Lamond, 47, of Stafford, Va., was indicted by a grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on one count of obstruction of justice and three counts of making false statements. Lamond will be arraigned today before the Honorable Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.'

'Trial set for DC police lieutenant accused of tipping off Proud Boys '

    snip:

'A District of Columbia police lieutenant accused of warning Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio he was being investigated and later lying about their communication will face trial starting Feb. 13, 2024.

Lieutenant Shane Lamond allegedly tipped off Tarrio, then national chairman of the right-wing extremist group, that law enforcement had an arrest warrant for him related to the destruction of a Black Lives Matter banner in the nation’s capital. '

As I already told you, if the corroborating evidence didn't exist than Tarrio just claiming that he had communications with Trump is meaningless and therefore Tarrio's claim that all he had to do is lie and he'd now be home in his bed is pure bull-****.
Thinking that Trump would put all his corrupt eggs in one basket is so naive.
Tarrio's plan was for the 'Proud Boys" to storm the capital, a message that prosecutors retrieved.

It's not BS. It's incredibly wishful thinking on his part, but it's clear that the prosecution wanted these statements in an attempt to collaborate or to at least pursue the matter further(you should watch more true crime documentaries.), this is very traditional and not at all out of order. Without those statements and with no further evidence, they couldn't pursue that path forward.

It's as simple as that. The only news here, is that Jack Smith wasn't as zealot as Russia gate, he wasn't interested in trying to prove a negative. And I'll shout him out on that.

Certainly we want the ones who violently attacked the Capitol in order to try and keep the Orange Stain in power in prison for as long as possible to discourage others from trying the same thing.
