1) If you have to ask "who is the US been fighting against" - as per Paul - you are way out of your depth and obviously did not read the transcript of the interview. The Syrian Army/Assad

2) Arms going into the hands of those fighting along side Al Qaeda/ISIS is going directly into the hands of ISIS if that group fights under Al Qaeda and is under the command of Al Qaeda - which was the case of all the significant rebel opposition groups - either Al Qaeda or ISIS - Sans a few others which were of the same ilk.

3) Their allies refers to "see #2"

4) Senator Black is referring to 1) the US Government's support of Jihadists and 2) that the US public was tricked into supporting the Jihadists by supporting the actions of the Gov't. Read the damn article.

The CIA has also been funneling weapons and money through Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar and others who provide direct and indirect support to groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda.

I would say that it is NOT a religion in the first place- it's a political power cult hiding behind the cloak of religion.
No legitimate religion teaches and endorses the concept of killing everyone who isn't one of you.
