dont underestimate the message this sends to the rest of the team (other than Boller) Jackson believes in this team and thinks they are worth the risk because they can win right now.
We had the same problem in St. Louis with Billy Bidwell and the football Cardinals - I was happy when they left town for Phoenix. Either spend the $$ to build a championship-quality football team, sell it to someone who will, or take your dog and pony show elsewhere - I'm not going to spent my $$ for continual mediocrity!
The Raider offensive line is pretty decent. That would be my main concern with Palmer is that he's not mobile at this point, but it does look he will be protected pretty well. I wouldn't expect him to do well right away, but in a few games, he may show himself to be the Raider QB for at least 2 more good years. If Palmer can still wing it downfield, the Raiders are due for a lot of big plays with their speed at WR.
The Bangles wanted OLB Curry from Raiders as part of the Palmer Trade ,I'm glad that did not happen ,then it would have been a bad deal .
Hard to take anybody serious with a name like Jamarcus, D'brickashaw or Plaxaco! Somehow I doubt they'll be in on the board meetings. Either way maybe Al is trashing the team from his grave because Palmer is washed up.

Isn't Jason Campbell out of the season? Anyway I liked Carson Palmer he was a good QB and was disrespected by the Bengals. Serves Cincy right, they continue to suck every year. Now if Mark Sanchez can finally step it up the jets will be true contenders again this year!

AFC west plays vs the NFC north and AFC east.. footballs 2 strongest divisions. Far from a weak schedule.
.............many that open their mouth don't have a (*)(*)(*)(*) clue as to what they are talking about. I have been a Raider Fan all my life and I think two potential 1st Round draft picks are way too much for Palmer.
