What happened to Ralph Yarl was obviously tragic, and the stupid old demented man who shot him should obviously be put behind bars for the remainder of his days if the evidence is sufficient to convict him. But was this really a national news story, rather than a local one? If it's national, then why wasn't the white woman who was attacked by a vicious black mob not also a national news story? Why don't we know her name? Is Biden going to call her family just like he did Ralph Yarl?

As for Biden's call to the Yarl family, my guess is he made a point of doing so as part of his gun control campaign. But if you'd prefer to play the white victimization card so often employed after the ascension of Trumpery, I get it.
