If you are talking about a 6-year-old girl, her father, and a neighbor, it was one person who happened to be black. Both did something incredibly stupid and I see no "self-defense" in either case.

That is social media talking more and not too concerned with the actual facts while trying to potray it worse than it really was. Yes, the person was assaulted, but even the police, you know, the ones who interview people, look at video and all such, did not describe the assault in that detail. I have seen much, much worse at frat parties with the Delta Lodge and others.
