Rand Paul: "Bill Gates Is Largest Funder Of Trying To Find Viruses In Caves And Bring Them To Big Cities"

“This is up there with the danger of nuclear war. But this is much more insidious...”

'“Bill Gates is the largest funder of trying to find these viruses in remote caves and bring them to big cities,” Paul asserted, referring to gain of function research.'

'“So what happened in China is they went eight to 10 hours south of Wuhan, two to 300ft deep into a cave, found viruses, and took them back to a city of 15 million,” Paul further explained.'

'“There are many, many scientists who think that Bill Gates is wrong in funding this,” he added.'

“We don’t need to be searching for viruses that may never interact with man. And it’s worse than that. They bring viruses that we may never interact with, they bring them back to the lab, but then they manipulate them by combining them with other viruses to create viruses that don’t exist in nature,” Paul continued.

“But this has largely been funded by Bill Gates. He funds the WHO more than most countries do. So there’s a responsibility there… I think he’s inadvertently helped to create something that the biggest danger to mankind right now is something that he’s been funding,” The Senator further noted.

We're on pace to cap out at 9,000,000,000 on earth and then decline as lower birth rates lower population replacement.

Bill Gates thinks that our current population is excessive.

    Please discuss

bio weapons are the future. Why mess up all this stuff with nukes when you can just drop a vial in the mall? The liberal ELITES know where the money is at. In fact, the high ranking lib elites probably already have the anecdote (for themselves)

Yep. Like most Bond villains, Gates mega wealthy and completely demented. Why go into bat caves to gather manure that will makes millions of people sick and die?

I think that there was a Bond villain named Drox who planned on killing all of the “genetically inferior people,” in his opinion, with a plague. He moved all the beautiful people to a space station until it was over. Bond and villain turned good gay Jaws, who had metallic teeth, got in his way.

This is what happens when individuals are allowed to accumulate wealth that rivals entire countries.

Maybe we should give him another tax break, eh conservatives?

You are likely contributing to that wealth by using the device you are on.

Tax the **** out of him. Lefties make this big show of how they really want to tax the rich! But, they never do, their pretense is nothing more than something that belongs on the Jerry Springer show with the flop sweat.

I demand that the Left tax the super rich. But they never will, because they are mostly Lefties.

You will find that “the left” and “Democratic politicians” are vastly different things.

I personally admire most billionaires. Generally, their wealth has benefited thousands of other people. The fact that a person can become a billionaire just shows how great this nation truly is. More power to them.

Then don’t get upset when they use their money to fund projects like this or they buy politicians to put barriers up for their competition.

Why should get any more upset when they use their money to fund projects than anyone else?

My point is very simple. I refuse to condemn a whole group just because of what a few in that group have done. Some billionaires have contributed much of their wealth for good causes and generally, the process of accumulating that wealth, benefited thousands of people.

Bill Gates became rich cause he created code while he worked for IBM, IBM could not stop him

that is no longer possible, if you create code for a company as an employee, they now own it - todays laws would have stopped Bill Gates from creating Microsoft

you're right, I thought he worked for IBM

guess IBM only hired Microsoft to create the DOS operating system, the mistake IBM made was not making it a work for hire where they owned the code
