Historically that was true, but it’s not true now. To paraphrase Joe Biden, “If you ain’t left, you won’t be a Democrat politician (with any power) for very long.”

Publicly expressed diversities of opinion is not welcomed in the Democrat Party.

It is still true. Some of the most important issues to the average Democratic voter is education and healthcare including bodily autonomy protections — Democrats are doing nothing on these fronts.

Some may think that your indictment more aptly applies to you.

About one out of a hundred are psychopaths. The corporate world has their share, just like the prisons do.

    Fake news.

'The ACA (ObamaCare) didn’t include a Public Option because Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, a former Nebraska insurance commissioner, refused to vote for any bill with a public option.'

    Ben Nelson is a DEMOCRAT.

Dems did not have the votes

"Obama, GOP's Snowe work on health care compromise"

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/09/02/health.care.compromise/

"The compromise plan would lack a government-run public health insurance option favored by Obama, but would leave the door open to adding that provision down the road under an idea proposed by Snowe, the sources said."

Republican would not vote for it.... that was the point, can't blame Dems for not trying, they did not have enough of a majority

They lost because of lost Democrat votes.

The GOP isn't going to vote for it, because the GOP doesn't support it.

Why come whining to us when it was Democrat that refused to allow to be part of Obamacare?

The Republicans had literally no input to the Obama Care bill.

John McCain definitely made a big show of shooting the Republican repeal down. It was one of his last defining moments in his checked political career. It’s okay. For those who want Obama core, they can go for it.

My wife and I were not fans. As part of her retirement, my wife had medical coverage from her old employer as a bridge until we could go on Medicare. Obama Care declared her benefit to be “a Cadillac plan” and shut it down. What business was it of the government what she had? At any rate, it cost us $5,000 more a year because she has diabetes. Some union members, after their labor organization had negotiated benefits for them, saw their medical coverage expenses go up too because of government interference. They were naturally none too happy.

Do you understand why some people are not pleased with big, intrusive government?

having employer provided insurance, means your employer decides and if one loses their job, they often lose their insurance.... we need universal coverage

An how do you propose to pay for it and maintain the quality, especially when you are adding all of these low skilled illegals to the rolls?

Why do you need to interfere with a system where employers were voluntarily paying for the insurance as a way to attract employees? If you want to cover those who lose their jobs, perhaps you could come up with bridge insurance to cover them until they get a new job.

The short question for you is, why is more, larger and more expensive government always your solution?
