She had the balls to stand up for the moral majority of this country while the guv shreds our constitution. If they can vote to violate the right of freedom of speech and shut up members of congress imagine whats coming to a theater near you soon! Regardless which side of the isle you are on or which side of this issue congress does not have the authority to violate the constitution! They must FIRST pass an amendment. Because so many people are pissed over this issue and considering who we have running I think she would win it! Oh wait I forgot, its not the voters that count, its the vote counters! Now we can cross freedom of speech off the list.
Don't confuse freedom of speech with the consequences for what you say. She can express her anti Semitism all she likes. But the consequence is serious criticism. You can say libelous things but you break the law by doing so. Freedom speech is nothing more than freedom from government censorship.
You are confusing Islamic hate and intolerance with free and courageous speech. A KKK member can say lots of bad things about people of color, but one could hardly such racism admirable.
I could never vote for anyone from either the far left or the far right. They’re extremist in my book. While I agree that speech shouldn’t be abridged regardless of one’s political views. What I see is the left trying to prevent the speech of the right and vice versa, the right going after speech from the left. Whether one supports Hamas or not or if one believes the 2020 election was stolen, their voice shouldn’t be caged. One should be free to express whatever one’s political views are or any other views for that matter. As long as they’re not expressing the want to harm others.
Perhaps but not in this case. Talib was not prevented from speaking her mind and having it reported in the media. She was criticized for what she said and censured for embarrassing the government. That is true of the President, not congress. They just need to be citizens. There are 29 nationalized and foreign born American citizens serving in congress.
Fine. I have no problem with naturalized citizens serving on Congress. The presidency is a bit different. If a bad apple or traitor makes their way into Congress, that can be fixed. It gets a lot tougher if a bad person becomes president.
The solution is the same. It is handled at the ballot box. But Presidents must be natural, not naturalized citizens according to the constitution so you have your way on that one.
The ballot box might be too slow. Would you have supported leaving Nixon in office until 1977 given his crimes?
If she ever got arrested and was told she had the right to remain silent she would probably be happy because she finally had a right!
That level of conflated equivocation is as wacky as saying antirepublicism or antidemocratism. She was censored by the government! So much for 'freedom' of speech!
Obama did, granny admitted he was born in Kenya! lol Freedom of speech is in the constitution too, yet she is censored as we fast track down that slippery slope of total authoritarian government! Go USA! I wonder who will be the first to be purged?
I'd like to see Elon Musk running for President. But that seems to be impossible because he was born South African.
Literally, the United States began as a British colony. Its origin is the British Empire. English (beneath Spanish) is the most popular language in the USA.
Check the records, the king never divested himself of the land rights. In fact they burned the deeds originally kept in the white house.
