How did government prevent her from speaking? She was censured for what she said because it embarrassed the congress. She can say it again if she wishes. Government doesn't prevent libelous speech but can provide a process for a lawsuit because libelous speech is illegal. You don't seem to understand what freedom of speech is. Freedom of speech is freedom from government censorship not freedom from the consequences of what you say.

 

Is there a point to this revelation? The 13 colonies took the territory from the King by force. The U.S. took Texas from Mexico by force as well. I assume you are aware that all wars are fought over territory.

To expand in this, who is preventing Tlaib from speaking? In Colorado the state Supreme Court has barred Trump from the ballot despite the fact that he yet to convicted. I don’t care for Trump, but why should politicians in black robes, who are supposed to be impartial, get to preempt the voters?

 

But crooked Trump is allowed to be elected, even though he's revealed himself to be an enemy of the American voter.

Rashida Tlaib has not yet declared but in many ways she'd be the ideal Democratic nominee. She has risen from being dirt poor to Congress. That's great in itself. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has that quality but sadly is too young to run. She's a bit too young.

Another aspect is that unlike Trump she is a calm person, soothed, even by events in which others find only horror. She can find the positive in anything, take lemons and make lemonade as it were.
