Trump is not likable. He has never been likeable, and I'm a New Yorker and know him from way back. We use to laugh at him because he was so flamboyant, but that's not what people should look at. After all the most likable people are sociopaths, and that's why they make great con artists.

It's Trump's policies that should concern us. The problem is with all the pressure from the Democrats and the liberal media, it's hard to know what Trump's policies are.

 

But if the proper channels are corrupt, alternate means are necessary.

It demonstrates yet again, as we've seen through the centuries, how easy it is to get people to hate. And the ease of it all, the obvious manipulations of public perceptions, is the scariest part of these phenomena.

Not if you watch what he does. He has eased some restrictions on energy and mfg that Obama imposed. He has taken action to balance the trade deals and he's fought steadily to restrict illegal immigration and is still battling. Just listen to the left wing complaints and it will lead you to what his policies are.

 

I include his decisions as part of how he acts.

 

He's also eased EPA regulations that protect the health of Americans living near mines, refineries, etc.

Some regulations did need to go, others not.

He reopened NAFTA, got little--nothing from Canada and a managed auto industry from Mexico--and may have given up more. Canada, our reliable supplier of raw materials is now busy giving better access to its resources in return for trade deals. They definitely don't trust us any longer.

Has he? Is he? When will he go after employers hiring illegals--like Trump resorts? Half of illegals are here because they overstayed a visa. How will we get a handle on illegals coming here if employers can hire them with impunity?

What in the hell has Trump done? He gave 85% of the tax cuts to people making $400,000 per year after saying he wouldn't cut taxes for rich folks. Promise made, promise broken.

Real wages are flat contrary to what you hear. From Q1 2017 to Q2 2109... no change.



He said he was going to fix healthcare, fast. His unpopular plan had less than 20% public support, so he couldn't even get it through s Republican House and Senate.

We could discuss what he has accomplished all day and never agree but he has been active and he has a surprising number of accomplishments given that there isn't a wheel turning on the left side of the wagon. By the way, tax cuts go to those who pay taxes.
