I can't understand why anyone wants to Tweet or read anyone else's Tweets. It looks like a place for celebrities to increase their celebrity by saying something controversial to save Democracy. And now if Elon gets control, he'll become Dr. Evil and censor everyone. Chuckling at how stupid that is. On the other hand, I'm really enjoying Redditt. I think the anonymity, oddly enough, conduces to honesty and mutual respect. Maybe the mods are better there.
Elon Musk wants to buy twitter because he doesn't like having any moderation. He believes in absolute free speech in spite of the fact that it has turned the internet into a wasteland.
I find the opposite is true. Reddit is the paragon of group think. Don't think like the group, and post like the group, then you will be banned from a great many of their subs.
Reddit is older than Twitter but less known. Maybe because you can't use Reddit as a simple messenger.
