    Why does the USA even have sanctions against Iran? I have read numerous news articles that say companies have been able to conduct trade with Iran for years despite the sanctions.

    I'm not sure sanctions are even a ban. I don't know anything that says sanctions are an outright ban on trade, maybe just a higher trading fee perhaps? Some companies may still see an advantage to trading with Iran despite a higher fee in place.

    GE was also trading with Iran, isn't Jeffrey R. Immelt one of Obama czars. Can't decide if your complaining about doing business with Iran, or Ring wing Koch brothers
