    I hope you pay state taxes so that schools and sttate roads are funded. Btw, did you know that the federal government funds even schools, roads and many other things?

    We have never enacted balanced budget amendment, so you can’t say it’s been tried and failed. What’s failed is tax and spend ideas. That’s always being tried. It’s always failed.

    You can be sure that the republicans will add to the national debt just like the democrats. If you want to stop it and I do then you must vote overspenders out of office and demand a balanced budget amendment to the constitution.

    Not a bad idea. Do you discount the Clinton/Gore methods of balancing budget? I admit that, with the interest on the debt today, it was a lot less of a problem then. Even with a balanced budget amendment, it's going to take some major changes in both spending and taxation.
