Oh, you mean the topic that was about someones belief that Afrika is better off ruled by whites.. Oh well, guess its another racist x'd off of my bedpost then. Such a pity ihad to buy a four-poster bed. How did the world come to this and why was evil allowed to thrive for so long before superman was forced to don his outfit and take back the street corners of Gotham?

You're a very strange and disturbed individual.
I think if this persists then a moderator should be called.

not long ago I read an article that estimated even today15% of England's wealth had it's origin in slavery and slave trade...obviously 170 yrs ago when slavery was abolished the vast majority of England's wealth then had been built on slavery and that wealth fueled the domestic industry...the sugar plantation slaves funded/built an empire

such things are not popular those who live in mythical history of their countries....when patriotic myth meets reality it can come as a shock to long cherished beliefs of superiority and grandeur...

 for someone who claims to know so much about history you're not very resourceful are you...jonah has confirmed the IR was funded by slavery...and SE asia is where the first rubber plantations began, brazilians preferred to tap the trees of the jungles which wasn't as efficient and profitable as the plantation method employed by the British in SE Asia...

Sab-"there were no commercial rubber plantations outside Brazil until the twentieth century." no, the first rubber plantations began in the 19th century 1876 to be precise in Malaysia, Ceylon and Singapore...

All the above is true, but ¿y que? (so what?)

Black South Africans, now free of the white man, are enjoying total self determination and are the happiest and proudest people on the planet. Black people thrive under such conditions.

The core city of Detroit in the United States is virtually free of white laws and stilted culture, and blacks there are also exuberant with their newfound self determination and proud exclusive culture and lifestyle.

If only that were true. Who do you think owns SA's most lucrative business (Gold and Diamonds)?

It's a rainbow state where white and black people theoretically don't have a leverage on one another.

Of course there's always going to be what they call in the US "affirmative action" but that's a small part of the problem.

The real issue is there are simply too many people chasing too few jobs in SA and many often resort to violent crime for a living.

I was under the impression that Detroit is regarded as a decaying dump.

S Africa has an estimated 5-8 million illegal immigrants, mostly uneducated, undereducated and unskilled Africans looking for better opportunities in S Africa...S Africa hasn't had the time to improve the lives of it's own disadvantaged people since the end of Apartheid, the last thing it needed was millions more impoverished people to increase the difficulty...

Jonah supplied links to back his pov you have supplied nothing through the entire thread other than your claim to be a history expert which Jonah and I have clearly debunked...

childish refusal to address the facts with which I have supplied evidence for, and once again you have nothing to offer but facts created in your mind...Brazil never used the plantation system for rubber production the british introduced it ...

Jonah -the guy who insists that jewsish people are not real jews but black people from the carribean are? Yes he's a real authority

You clearly can;t get over the FACT that rubber comes from Brasil. Not Congo, not India but Brazil.

It's funny to see how the US did go the way from apartheid to absolutely tolerant Country where white men became alien in its own Country .In most case they are becoming a category name as a White Trash.

:roflol: FACT: the point of issue was not where rubber came from but where and when rubber plantations began, so you can dance around it all you want but it's obvious to anyone who's followed the thread you're still wrong...

Jonah? moving the goalposts are you?---Jonah was not only correct in regards to slavery and the industrial revolution but he posted evidence...and you were wrong as to where the first rubber plantations were established and which century as well, and you never posted any citations to back up your fabricated facts...time to back away from your claims of historical expertise as you clearly have none...

    No he didn't.

The BBC link does not exist and the video in no way relates to the industrial revolution but to a couple of slave owners and of course there was no mention of it.

I'm not denying the practice of slavery but I don't accept the "evidence" that has been presented.

I should also point out that is the wrong topic for this dialogue so I suggest that this line of dialogue go somewhere else.

It matters little whether you accept the information or not, its there, anybody can read about it and digest it in their own time. Theres likely plenty of factual information out there you cant accept, its part of living in denial.

You seem to have trouble reading. The evidence which you presented does not relate at all.

Yes that's because there's also alot of false or misleading information on the internet which is why I cross reference my sources in order to make sure.
And "likely" is not good enough.

And in any case it's not my job to convince myself as to the validity of your claim.

No. I understood what you presented and had determined that it does not relate to your claim.

    I'll try this again
    1. The BBC link does not exist so as far as we know the excerpt which you posted could of been pulled from another site
    2. The video is a small lecture regarding the history of two slave owning families and the Morant bay rebellion.
It's really more of an intro to a museum exhibit anyway rather than a dedicated lecture.

As such the evidence is invalid in regards to the claim of slavery having been the sole cause of the Industrial revolution.

Allow me to allay your concern: NO.
I have no opinion that cannot be supported by facts and conclusive evidence and am willing to receive contest to such opinions.
