Rick Perry is the best candidate in the current GOP presidential debate. His views on economical reform as well as healthcare are superior to those of other current candidates. To keep up with Perry in his presidential campaign or to debate my opinions or add you're own opinions follow me on twitter.

Yes, if you want bigger government, higher taxes, more political cronyism and more freebies to illegals, vote for Rick Perry, who actually proposed the idea of bi-national health insurance with Mexico. http://aolsearcht2.search.aol.com/a...ed+Bi-National+Health+Insurance+with+Mexico’g

Perry is positioning himself as something that he is not. He is a status quo politician. Look at his voting record, and look at his actions and votes in the past, not the lies he is spouting now.

If you want the SOS, vote for Perry. He will be another Bush or Obama who will continue to sell out this country to special interests.

Rick Perry inherited the Texas tax structure..economy and oil which all went up with the cost of OIL.

He was dealt 4 aces as governor..and he bet small and lost ..The Texas ranking in education..health care..and wages per capita is among the worst.

He responsed to ROMNEY by saying he was the son of a poor man..
    So what ?

It is not where you are born in life..but what you MAKE of that hand.
The American way..the promise that you can do better than dad.

Obama is helping destroy that dream..
The aces are not about where you are born..but about the hand you inherited and wrecked.

Perry will continue to show his political attacks as usual.
    Misdirect..attack on the personal level.
    More Texas politics.
Romney cannot afford to do that..he KNOWS being MORMON he is held to a higher standard.
ANOTHER reason to take advantage of his character and experiences and vote for ROMNEY/Pawlenty 2012.

It will be a wild ride as the elections draw near. Let just not forget that no one candidate is perfect, that not one of them can encompass what's best for over 300 mil people, and that Congress is at least as important as the guy or gal in the WH.
I just hope that we can discuss their pros and cons without belittling and insulting each other. None of us stand out in the crowd, or get an extra thank you from either candidate. We shouldn't fight their fight, but our own.
Hopefully whoever is best for the country will win, and not the one who gives the best lip service, or makes the best promises.
This is too important to be lulled in by nice words and facades, and we can't afford to get it wrong.

I'm leaning towards Rick Perry mostly because of those who are so opposed to him. Mitt Romney has Jimmy Carter's endorsement for god's sake.

Every time one of the nitwits lies about Rick Perry my support grows another notch. If they actually stuck to facts that would be different but if they did that they wouldn't be leftists.

Notice that Romney was willing to give Rick a Mulligan over the shot deal..saying all leaders make mistakes...
Bachmann however continues to make this a issue..it shows something about her style as well as Perry's..

If either Perry or Bachmann was a Mormon they would be BURNT TOAST at this point.
The tea party religious wing is willing to cut them enormous slack as long as a Mormon who is better is not elected.

It's time to take religion out of government politics.
Before you let Government take Religion completely out of America.

A faithful person is faithful to America.
Dont let the other side win because a Mormon isn't your religion of choice.

Romney's religion has little to do with his electability in the General election, and only slightly more in the Primary. S. Baptists like me will support Romney in droves over the muslimic Obama.

I still think Perry will be our next President, and I agree with almost everything he says. Certainly there are things he has done that I don't like, but that's true of all of them.

Certainly not Obama? My god, do you want to get reported to the Purple Shirts?

Mitt Romney's religion doesn't interest me. I'm an atheist and one religion is pretty much the same as another. President Obama's apparent belief that their is no being greater than himself is a little troubling.

Pretty weak reason to vote for a politician. There are plenty of negative FACTS that be found on Perry by reviewing his tenure as govenor of Texas. Texas employment is due to to the tax structure in Texas.. Perry had nothing to do with that.. it was there before he was.

Perry is responsible for cutting funding to schools making Texas school systems one of the least funded per student in the Nation. Cutting funding to Firefighting organizations in the midst of the worst drought in Texas History. Cutting funding for airmobile ambulance services. Having a state with the highest % of minimum wage jobs (I am not convinced he is responsible for this). Highest disparity betweem rich and poor... Even G.W Bush thinks Perry is a dirtbag.

You should inform yourself with factual history of Rick Perry and then make up your own mind if voting for him is good for the future of this country. Basing your actions on the lies and misdirection of others is lunacy.

I agree in the general.. but the Republican nomination comes 1st.
Perry shouldn't even be in the race..
He brings nothing that the others already have offered except he is a MAN and From TEXAS.
So Bachmann had that support but apparently being a woman did her in..
Then Romney already was destroying the Obama economic picture but we needed another Baptist to make HIM REAL ?

Paul is the same in the same deal.
He has run for president 2 other times as a independent..now he ran home to Momma to be Republican to get exposure.

Perry has flipped and flopped as much as Romney..but he is the right Religion and gets nothing but phrase for being a strong minded Texan ?

It is about religion..to the far right..not economics.
I wonder when the county is working and unemployment is under 5% what the far right will feel about Romney then ?

I can just imagine the flip flopping should one be faced a Perry/Romney ticket.
Those who rip Perry to shreds now may just soon sing his praises.

Romney would be ok, but he just kinda reminds me of an 'elitist snob." Bush 41 was like that.

Perception is important, and I think Perry is more likable which will carry him to victory.

I can be Ok with him as a VP..but a Pawlenty ticket carries the religion without the baggage.

    Romney /Pawlenty in 2012

" NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty (R) endorsed Mitt Romney for president Monday with a surprise appearance before Republican supporters here, saying that no other candidate in the race “can come close” to Romney’s experience or abilities to address the nation’s economic woes.
