Hey, he looks like a president! Good enough, git'r'done.

I really don't like to rain on parades, I'm sorry, but Perry has doubled spending in Texas, has the lowest wages in the country, has some of the worst education, will not do anything about illegal immigration (when Texas is already flooded with them), supported Gore, attended Bilderbergers, has Texas in an almost Californian level of debt. Knowing all of this, any other outsider would be better, I would even take Sarah Palin over Perry.

Yes, Perry will have a lot of money thrown his way. Is that a good thing? Anyone supported by the MSM or global monopolies deserves a shove back into irrelevancy.

He may (or may not) get a lot of money thrown at him by Pharma and the rest of the healthcare lobby. On the other hand, depending upon what sort of boiler room deals Romney makes right now, he might just get a surprising amount of support from the healthcare lobby.

In my own assessment, I do not think the League of Shadows (the plutocracy which controls both parties and the Fed, for lack of a better name) is done with Obama yet. They'll be needing a serious tax increase sometime between 2012 and 2016. That's a job best left for the Democrats.

That being said, Perry may be a good choice for the League's present agenda. Besides, he can always run again in 2016, which may be more facilitative for all intents and purposes. On the other hand, Perry does have enough charisma to pull off an upset in 2012, so maybe he is not such a good choice for the Republican ticket right now.

Texas has lower unemployment but has issues with that employment like a HUGE chunk of it is minimum wage McDonalds level stuff (biggest in the USA).

Texas also has the benefit of having a decent amount of oil.

I hope you're not serious. I wouldn't vote for Obama under ANY circumstances.
I could never forgive myself if I did.

Not necessarily. My district votes about 80% democrat.
I could vote third party under those circumstances. Fortunately, the Rs are in great power here now in NC and there will be redistricting. So, maybe the balance of my district will change. Maybe we can get Obama loyalist George Butterfield out.

Texas is currently $25,000,000,000+ in the hole. He's been Governor since Shrub resigned.

No, it is fair/reasonable to say that, Rick Perry is 'running' for President.

That word/process "vetting"... forgotten by many since 2008, is something he has yet to face.

He'll be my President (not my choice) if he wins, but it likely isn't as much smooth-sailing for him, as it seems.

The coming months will be interesting.

Reminds me of listening to Obama speak, attributing the US failures to random irrelevant drivel instead of focusing on the real issues we face.

Um..every state is in the hole.

Obama tanked the economy into a depression.

It matters to some voters that he is a "Christian", but not all.

The President of the United States need not be a "Christian", to do the job. And that "Christian" aspect, may certainly not be an advantage for a candidate in the coming elections (as many have associated the religion to Right Wing 'radicalism'). You see, we've had Christians as President before.

Even as a Christian myself, I ask: How has a President being "Christian" (in particular) actually helped America?

(I'm sure that the scores of people who are NOT Christian, may also ask themselves and others that question.)

Rick Perry is a Christian; so what? (Now, let's see if he can get elected and more importantly what is he going to do to/for America?)

It started with GW Bush, who happens to be from Texas.

That is exceedingly debateable. In fact, one can easily argue that the economy was already tanked before he was even nominated.

Obama's biggest problem right now is actually these mobs of black youths attacking white people and/or looting stores in cities across the nation.

If this sh*t keeps up, Obama has no chance of getting reelected, even with CNN, et al., maintaining a "blackout" policy on the reporting of these incidents.

Well, with that "attitude" Perry is sporting, I wouldn't vote for him if ALL the Democrats, normal Republicans, Independents and Moderates in the world were to disappear.

The Republicans are increasing Obama's chances the further their candidates move to the right. They are marketing themselves to a narrow margin of voters with religious right candidates like Perry.

Well, since it's been mentioned twice now, I was only kidding/refuting the OP's Ron Paul bash.

It's more likely that I would not even bother voting, which is where the dissidents often find themselves.
