Hoosier, I have never been a liberal and have never voted liberal in my life. My great-grandfather was the last liberal in our family. You deal with your own problems: don't project them onto me!

Because that is what they were looking for. So they found it. No big surprise there. It's certainly not the first time that someone has "found" evidence that supports their forgone conclusion.

You disparage "rightists", yet you claim not to be the opposite. What are you then?

BTW, you vote Democrat or Republican, not liberal. There are many conservative Democrats and many liberal Republicans.

If your great-grandfather was a liberal, then I can guarantee he was not one of today's liberals.

First, this is a published article in a top notch scholarly journal (and therefore has been through quality control). Second, it uses data that is available to all (one just needs to download it from the ESRC Data Archive). This means checking the paper for robustness is a straight forward proposition. Third, the analysis (excluding of course the additional research they add to the literature) is confirmed elsewhere.

Now you may not like the result. Fair enough! But if you want to dismiss it you're going to have to do better. Refer, for example, to an article that disputes the paper's findings

Are you saying that the minorities that make up the majority of the left are smarter than the right wingers that have been given white-privilege?

I thought minorities were given rudimentary educations and are at a disadvantage to the white-privileged people. By this very ideology does it not stand that they should be the most prejudiced? The ideology presented in your op that is.

Ideology? There isn't one. Simply a quantitative analysis into innate ability and how its linked to prejudice.

So are you saying that left wingers should be more racist given they are largely the minorities that have been denied an education? A decent one anyway.

Your question doesn't make sense. Left wingers aren't 'largely the minorities'. What we have is quite simple: innate (in)ability and prejudice are found to be related. Refer to that and you'll hit a degree of relevance

So do minorities comprise mostly on the right? Stop being a pedantic ninny and see the question for what it is.

The question is nonsense. If you can't actually respond to the paper's findings, i.e. the link between innate ability and prejudice, then just say so.

Actually your op is nonsense. It claims people are racist because they lack intelligence. As any lefty would say, minorities are given poor educations if any at all. They comprise nearly 30% of the population, and they are hardly a firm voting block for the GOP. That pretty much rebukes any and all credibility of the GOP being racist for being idiots.

I'd prefer relevant comment for the thread. However, carry on with the 'noise' if it gets your goat!

No, its a summary of a peer reviewed publication that finds a quantitative link between social conservatism, cognitive ability and prejudice.

Ah, I am not sure I understand your references then. I apologize if I get them wrong.

I am considered right wing here because I am for liberty and not for the current statism and authoritarian rule as much of the UK is bathed in and the way the US is moving and has been for decades.

I am for liberal democracy as opposed to totalitarian democracy of which we have been becoming and the UK has been for some time.

Individual liberty vs absolute collective purpose.

That would put me on the opposite side of socialists.

What you need is a bunch of Capitalist/Conservative McCarthy's around to help kick some of that socialist arse the way good ole Joe did here in America when we had exposed the red commies of their infiltrating and actually becoming a part of FDR's administration. What we got instead of a complete whitewashing of the commie slime in America was further totalitarian rule by the progressives/socialists that created our nanny state welfare system that has been thebackbone of the liberals for some 75+ years now.

There is no democracy here - just three tory parties making war on those who do the work.

Racism doesn't matter any more. No one believes in Dr. King's Dream any longer. Not even African Americans. No one cares.

I understand grievance, dependence and the desire for revenge. That gives me some modicum of insight into the African American psyche.

Sun Tzu said that one need not fear the outcome of a hundred battles if one understands one's self and one's opponent. Being able to put one's self in the shoes of another psychologically is necessary to defeat that other.
