Here it is -- http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/rnc-member-trump-can-win-with-1100-delegates/article/2588378 Republican National Committee member Randy Evans said Wednesday that Donald Trump would likely be able to secure the Republican nomination if he captures anything more than 1,100 delegates, short of the 1,237 delegates needed for a simple majority. "If Donald Trump exceeds 1,100 votes, he will become the nominee even though he may not have 1,237," Evans said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."
Maybe. But it's more likely to unsettle the Democrats who are already experiencing deep divisions in their primaries.
I think Trump will get the nomination even if he doesn't get the majority of delegates. It just may take more than one ballot. Even with that, though, failing to get the majority is going to be a pretty big albatross around his neck . . . especially considering how much he has bashed Romney. If you are going to call someone's campaign and embarrassment, you had better hope you are able to accomplish more. So far, that doesn't look likely.
Keep having your wet dreams about those Democratic Party guys but they have their Wench in a much more secure position than the GOP has TRUMPF in. But if fantasy works for you keep dreaming little dreamer.
Sanders is the outsider so it is unclear if his supporters will rally behind clinton. Given the anemic democratic turnout so far, Hillary needs every vote she can get. She may be beating Trump in the polls but that is irrelevant if she doesn't have the votes to make it happen.
I don't see how he doesn't get to 1237. Now granted, I'd love for him to fail, but looking at the map he would have to seriously quit trying to not get to 1237.
It is First Ballot or nothing for Trump. If Trump doesn't get the nom on the First Ballot, he won't get it at all.
You need to look harder or clean your glasses. He will do good in NY and the Northeast. Then, he will lose Indiana. The rest of May will be basically a wash. It all comes down to California, the CDs get gamed out, and he finishes around 1150. Better look again.
