He's the only one whose numbers have stayed fairly consistent, the only one with a clear economic plan and above all the only one who can beat Obama. I don't care if TPer's don't like him, they're gonna have to suck it up when he becomes the nominee.

Well then he should run Huntsman as his VP.

Fat chance of that; my guess is he will pick a more right-wing running mate in order to broaden his appeal to conservatives. But he is definitely going to be the nominee unless something truly scandalous happens.

I agree. He was the most impressive in the debate last night. I was disappointed with Cain. His choice of Greenspan as the top Fed Chairman hurt him. And then his inability to justify the discrepancy between the 9% sales tax and the 6.2% payroll tax savings made him look rather ignorant (and he should have seen that question coming a mile away). Not a good showing at all for him.

    You evidently prefer the NeoCons.

Huntsman would be a huge help to Romney in Foreign policy and he speaks like an adult.

Then he can choose Newt. Huntsman is plastic banana man.

Newt has too much baggage and he's often outrageous in his speech.

Huntsman wants to take our 50,000 troops out of Germany and beef up the Asian pacific theater.

The cold war is OVER, the Russians aren't coming.

Newt's baggage is irrelevant to VP. Make Huntsman secretary of state then, I just don't want him or his bull(*)(*)(*)(*) AGW believing ass anywhere near domestic policy discussions.

    His daughters are smoking hot.

It's extremism like your's that is F'n up your side :sun: but F'n up this country along with it.
As Barney Frank gloriously comedied today, 'Newt considers himself the intelectual gift to the cons, yet he finds himself trailing someone like Bachmann'. Plus... 'he's found himself at the return window, and it's not at Tiffinys'. :-D
Newt is better than most, but Huntsman is the best they have, and as we see... he's unacceptable?! No matter how bad Obama could possibly be, he's a '12 cakewalk thanx to con extremism that this country needs none of.

    My original ticket idea of

    Romney/Pawlenty still looks mighty nice.

    Romney/Bachmann would keep the love...

Romney/ Cain would share the love...

The fact that Romney as the lead picking any Social conservative for VP would calm the jitters of the tea party.

I was OK with Romney/Perry but Perry would need to improve for him to get back on board.
Now for fun switch the names around..do they still seem as strong..reliable and competent ?

Add a immediate nomination of Paul for Treasury Secretary..and Hunstman as Secretary of state..

    The conservative libertarian dream team.

Fantastic. It'll be McCain part 2. Why don't we just give Obama the election now.

Sorry, I'm holding out for Herman Cain. I'll believe he's out when he's actually out. Until then, I'm not accepting anything.

Herman Cain doesn't have anything besides his $9.99 pizza plan.

Romney would obviously be preferable to Obama, but we still need a true conservative to win if we want to help heal the damage that Obama and Bush have caused.

    Boring is good.

    Congress is where it's at.
And a President who gets it.

Republicans in congress and Romney Get It.

Send Democrats back to the STONED AGE. :)

After they pay for the Wall St. cleanup and 3.5 million dollar cop over time.

You all seem to be missing the point that the Obama camp will win once again in 2012, because they have the best campaign supporter of all time on their side.

    George W. Bush's presidency.

You have to be kidding! Bush would be a welcome relief to the scumbucket, loser we have now! Everything Obama has done has hurt our country. Obama is the reason Republicans will sweep in 2012.

Apparently we live in different countries, mine is here in reality, where's yours?

The only thing republicans ever sweep is their own incompetence and greed under a giant rug in the shape of an American flag. Luckily for me I don't need to prove my point because the country is going to do that for me.

Were you better off under Bush or under Obama ?

    A simple 9.9.9 question.

Bush looks better every year that passes.

It is true that his numbers have been consistent. Unfortunately, consistently unmovable. He has a base but is having trouble attracting a broader appeal. Romneycare is his Achilles heel. He has his work cut out for him.

Not quite. He is the only non-lawyer, non-career politician, and non-insider running.

For those sick of the status quo.......those qualities are very appealing.

Obama, without a doubt. Because under Bush I would be typing this from some poorly ventilated government tent in Iran right now.

Put it this way, the entire planet is better off without Bush. Unequivocally.

Oh you mean the things that Republicans claimed were downsides about Obama before 2008? Ouch.

Both shrub and obama are beyond pathetic(although cheney actually made the decisions) but I would say shrub and cheney were slightly worse because their intents were evil, oboobma is just utterly inept.
