Let me help if I can,,,who has been dealing with BAILOUTS, BIG BUSINESS, UNIONS, AND LOBBYISTS.....OBAMA!!! Secondly why in the world would I want to pay YOUR bills???, mmm?

Listen if you think having the Government is the way to go because you are not capable of taking care of yourself,,,fine!! Us conservatives know that instilling in our children self reliance and hard work to actually EARN what you have builds a better person and Nation...Can you imagine if all we had in this country were those beggers at the Wall street gig,,,IMAGINE?,,,WHAT THE HELL WOULD GET DONE? and where would we wind up with the Government supporting them?,,take a look at Greece and the other countries that went that way, how are they all doing now??? BROKE,,THAT'S HOW!!

Now many may say..''Listen flounder we are not that much better off'',,well think for a minute how much money we give to other countries, and how much in support, think about how huge our military is and spread all over the world,,THINK about how much military support we have given these countries,,INCLUDING WHAT OBAMA HAS DONE!!,,,think about the open BORDERS,,AND WHAT THAT HAS COST,,,YOU SEE??,,WE GIVE EVERYBODY EVERYTHING...!!!,,,time to think about ourselves...

I and many want a strong society, not grubbers. I want people of character, hard workers,,not people I support to go learn the frigin FLUTE!!,,,or sit home collecting welfare throughout their generations!! Obama's job plan is about campaigning,,not reality,,why just blame the Repubs, some of his own people turned it down, did you forget that???
Secondly we hear..''Oh most people like the plan'',,,well no crap genius,,who the hell is going to say ''NO'' to more jobs....WHO???,,,it's how it will get paid for is the problem. Hey I have an idea, how about you ask those same people about the jobs plan but use their money!!!! What answer will you get then,,,huh?

O,NO,NO, I did not say "It could have been worse" I sad it "Was worse" .... Not what could have been, What Was ..... You are nopt disputing my numbers so I'll not repost the chart. But....We were losing 750,000 jobs a month before the stimulus. That is a fact, Within a year that number droped to zero. Another fact. I don't care who got jobs or whose jobs were saved to stop the hemmorage. It was the Republicans who claimed it was a failure because it did not work as good as Obama had hoped. I guess their solutoin was to do nothing and keep losing 750,000 jobs a month. And.... When you ask people if they have shovel ready work, you have the money, they say yes, yes. Then you realize all the paperwork involved, it wasn't quite as shovel ready as you thought. There were still a lot of pictures of Republican Gonernors holding those big checks at construction sites bragging how they got money for their state to create jobs. Then turn around and bad mouth the stimulus. I'm not saying it was a done right, but at the time we were in a crisis, and to say it did not help is to ignore the facts. Everybody here seem to be experts at seeing the problem. Seeing the problem is the easy part, seeing the solution is the hard part. So you seem to be saying, just let it alone, History shows us that it will get better all by itself , always has, always will. That sounds like an good approach, based on facts.

The problem I have with you pal is.... Your assumptions are all wrong. You assume that all coservatives are hard workng, law abiding, God fearing, just all around good Americans. AND All Liberals are Lazy, Sitting on their rear doing nothing, Collecting your money in the form of welfare, food stamps. Want healthcare for free at your expense. Just all around no good Bums. Well, I must say I disagree. I'm liberal, I work hard, Have all my life. Liberals dont't really want anything for free. We would merely like to see our tax dollars spent differentaly. Instead of all the corporate welfare( which is more than welfare to the poor) , the military spending on policing the world, Foreign (bribes)Aid, I could just go on and on. You should really look at what the other side is saying and give it some thought. Rather than listening to someone like Rush and believing he is right. One last point. Liberals are for universal healthcare. They do not want it for free. It is how they think our tax doillars should be used. Healthcare would cost us less, and we would live longer. These are two facts, not my opinion. I say this because.... Canadians and almost all Europeans have a longer lifespan than Americans. Americans pay more per capita for healthcare than any nation and 40 million are not covered. So.... If we wee all covered it would cost us less. I don't know how old you are but I can tell you if you are 63 yr old, private health insurance will cat you 1100 a month. Its pathetic to think you are in a hurry to turn 65 so you can get on Medicare. If it was up to Republicans, we wouldn't even have that. they call it socialism. I have just one question for you, Please don't tell me you are on social security and medicare. Are you?

Look Flounder, you are very misled and clouded by your anit-american beliefs. If you tinnk we loose money on well fare you are wrong. The fedgovt does not care aboout immagrents from mexico who need wellfare they do it because the money they spend generates more money becuase of them spending it. Second, youre right who wouldnt want to vote for more jobs, well the republicans shure dont. If they have a problem with the jobs bill then why dont they propose their own.Clearly they cant now why wont they vote for it, simple becase if they do trump and other 1%ers would get pod at them. A few weeks ago Bill O reilly thretened to quit his show on fox simply because the democrates wanted to tax the rich more. Apperently he cant live with just 8 miilion a year, poor bill!!! These are the peaple who are running the govt and when protesters and voters reallize that the problem aint wall street but the republicans thins will change. When voters open their eyes and see that peaple like bill threatan to quit cause he cant live with 8mil a year there wont be none of that romney-perry crap and the democrates will be in office.Peaple of the forums im sure none of you are millioners so please vote obama while the country can still be saved.

Sorry you are wrong, spending money so others can spend it is not profitable, especially to those that do not work...What the heck do you think?, Government money is FREE MONEY???,,,THAT'S MY MONEY!!!!,,it's the tax's I pay..

Wellll,,,I would get mad at you if you wanted to steal my money,,,wouldn't you?,,What right do YOU have to their money???,,,WHAT?? Did you work for their money?, are you their child or something? The republicans have plenty of ideas, but first we have to get this spending down. Also If you tax the rich more you will not increase the private jobs, Obama wants to increase [or hold] the Government jobs...HIS VOTERS!! The private sector will still suffer,, and THAT'S WHERE MOST OF THE JOBS HAVE BEEN LOST!!
I think you fail to realize the jobs he is talking about is Government jobs....

And of course you take him as serious,,,RIGHT? Please do not use these childish examples of anything....

Excuse me as I have mentioned before,,,OBAMA has bailed the big boys out, Obama works with Lobbyists [when he promised he would not], Obama DOES WORK WITH WALL STREET,,HE GETS HUGE CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THEM,, and last time I checked.......OBAMA IS A DEMOCRAT!

    Millionaires????

    Obama's House........[Before White House]
    Open your eyes will you!!!!

Also The Democrats already had all of Congress and almost buried us, that's why they were voted the hell out,,,,,,REMEMBER?
The wealthy already pay almost 80% of all tax's in this country, or don't you know that?

Soooo,,,your answer is they should pay more money to save Government jobs but not mine or others, and the reason is because they are Obama voters????,,,Good luck with that!!!!!

Ideologies do not solve real-world problems. A president needs to think of pragmatic solutions that affect millions of lives. He or she has to compromise to get bills passed.

Community organizers and Unions do not compromise unless forced to.
They represent only 1 side of any question..
Taxpayers represent the whole question..and we should not have to compromise when dealing with those who cannot balance a budget or NOT be what they claimed to be.
You can compromise on some things..Honesty is not 1 of them.

His experience in the corporate sector and most importantly his problem-solving attitude towards public policy. He said that over the years in Bain he learnt to dig hard into the number and the answer can be found there. Too many politicans now just to seem to know the answers without any research. And that kind of answers tell you more about his or her personal ideologies rather than the nature of the issue.

If the budget is what the voters care, we wouldn't end up in this place. My guess is that even though the country should be budget conscious by now, the democrat blocks are not going to cut spending without some carrots dangling there for them.

We really have to get those on the moderate left to have some incentives to be against one another first. Just to give one example. Gary Johnson said he had no issue against teachers' unions except that they treat good and bad teachers alike. I know many conservatives who can be pretty vulgar when talking about teacher's union. But you cannot just hammer them once for all. Some people on the left want reforms as well. It is really a process of tactical push and squeeze. It takes time and patience.

Romney's business experience mostly resolves around buying up businesses and dismantling them in order to turn a profit. That doesn't sound like someone that is looking to take over and make thing right. That sounds like someone that is looking to take over and make money for himself and other private interests.

    No thanks.

It turns into a profit because of sound management. They basically take over poor performing companies at a cheap price, giving them mananagement solutions to make the company working, selling them at a higher price a few years later, which gives return to the investors of Bain Capital. It is profit making because they cure poor business. The country is in some sort of similar situation now, waiting for sound management. I didn't actually take note of this relevence until you mentioned.

The MO of Bain is taking over a company, laying off workers, closing plants, moving operations off shore, and cashing in.

This is not indicative of an ability to manage the national government in the interest of the national economy.

There are times when the price of the stock of a company falls below what the assets of the company are. You have 10 million in equiptment and inventory. Sales are not good so you are not making much profit. you are not paying any dividends. the price of your stock goes down. Say you have 10 million shares. The price drops to 90 cents per share because everybody is selling it. Bain buys the company, closes it . sells off the assets and inventory for 10 million and pockets 1 million. That 10% on your money. Not bad in todays market. That makes it sound simple but thats basically what they did in most cases. Not all. In some they built the company up and sold it.
There is nothing illegal or immoral about what they did. Its just the way business goes.

Warren Buffett pays capital gains taxes which isn't the same as income tax. If he were to pay income tax, he would pay about 80% if he made a billion dollars. Most of his wealth is on paper. The reason why capital gains taxes are so low is because the government wants more wealthy people to tie their actual dollars up in investments. This puts more money in the economy. Unfortunately, most of the large companies that wealthy people are investing in are putting all our jobs overseas. And this is driven by the fact that these wealthy investors want to see a MORE PROFITABLE company. The investors have the power to get rid of the executives which puts pressure on them to screw up this country. And many top executives do this joyfully because they hate unions and/or average Joe employees that want a decent wage. As far as the executives are concerned, they're the ONLY ones who are entitled to a good living.

I was thinking about this the other day, with how bad most nominees and Presidents were doing in the polls before the primaries; how often do Front-Runners actually get the nomination?

Guilliani and Clinton were front-runners last election. Dean was the front-runner in 2004. Clinton was doing horrible in the polls in his Primary, as was Carter.

I don't see Romney being a sure thing at all.
