We need the man that gets stuff done back in office. The savior to babies everywhere will ascend his throne soon.

Trump made me realize how pretentious and lame the constitution is if it can’t protect babies lives. We need a benevolent dictator like Trump.

I would rather our country go over a massive overhaul and Trump be back.

I wish the insurrection was successful

I think DeSantis definitely intends to challenge "King" Trump. There are too many unknowns, at this point, to really predict how that will turn out. How many Republicans run in the Primary? Do they consolidate around DeSantis, fairly early, or do they linger until later in the process? Does Trump get indicted, and for what? When does the trial take place (and what is the outcome-- if it is not after the nominee has already been decided)?

My guess, though, at this point-- and I only know what others have said about DeSantis, so haven't had the chance to really size him up, personally-- would be that DeSantis has a better shot than Trump does.

Agreed, and rather terrifying. DeSantis is much smarter than Trump but the same sort.

WHEN did the Republicans become the Nazi Reboot? They had some good people at one time, what HAPPENED?

All indications are that De Santis will challenge Trump and De Santis, IMO, primarily believes the same way as most GOPers but Trump is the leader of the GOP according to members of the GOP.

Folks need to rethink their notion that De Santis would bring some 'civility' to the dem party. How does DeSantis feel about protectionism and America first, for examples? In other words, is DeSantis a capitalist or free market capitalist?

~ Trump is the only outsider with courage and resilience to stand against the Capitola Hill elite's cabal. Of course he will be sabotaged by the media, Democrats and the GOP itself. However he has an unexpected new and powerful allie — The Mighty Musk .

Interesting, especially in light of the fact Trump has never read the Constitution. In fact, he barely reads at all.

That question has been repeated so many times around these parts, and yet all we get as a response is gibberish. The MAGA faithful are parrots and rubes as demonstrated by their very words.

Musk confuses Woke with Cancel Culture. CC is what he is talking about. Woke is nothing more than the ideology that most of us agree with.

Spot on. Most of us agree that cancel culture has gone too far. Woke itself, by its accurate definition, is a reasonable concept.

You seem to be using two different categories, which should be the same thing: "GOPers"= "members of the GOP." Presumably, though, you mean them differently. So would you kindly clarify, what you actually mean, as opposed to what you'd said? Perhaps, by "members" of the GOP, you had meant, elected officials?

Why do you hate these people so? What have they ever done to you? If they wish to be another gender, or none at all how is that any of your business?

I’d say policy wise DeSantis is Trump 2.0. But what does that mean, outside of tax cuts, Trump didn’t have a legislative agenda. I don’t think DeSantis does either. What DeSantis has over Trump is that he’s political savvy, acts like a grownup, behaves presidential, not like some 4-year-old spoiled brat with his name calling and throwing of temper tantrums. DeSantis has a likable personality instead of Trump’s obnoxious, uncouth, rude persona that turns off people especially independents. DeSantis can and probably will attract the independent voter, whereas Trump couldn’t. DeSantis has a political history and experience, most recently governor of Florida where most Floridians think he’s been an excellent governor. DeSantis won’t fall into a lot of political traps set by Democrats that Trump did.

There’s been a shift in the Republican Party, many now realizing Trump has been a loser for them. 2018, lost of the house. 2020 lost of the presidency and the senate, 2022 a very poor showing for the GOP when a red wave should have happened, it didn’t. A red trickle did instead. Perhaps the midterm should be described as a blue trickle. After all, the Democrats gained 2 governorships and a senate seat while limiting their house loses to 9. All with a sitting president hovering around a 40% overall job approval rating. The average loss for a party whose president is hovering around 40% approval is 48.5 house seats, 6 senate seats and 4.25 governorships. Trump is responsible for the blue trickle. He’s the best asset the Democrats have going for them. Democrats hate him, independents really dislike him. 2022 proved independents not only won’t vote for Trump, they won’t vote for his chosen candidates.

If I were a Democrat, I’d be very weary of DeSantis. I wouldn’t underestimate him. For 3 straight elections Democrats won the independent vote, 2018, 2020,2022, DeSantis has the ability to change that. I think he’ll be the GOP nominee; Trump is fading within the GOP.

FYI, so are the "members" of the GOP. That is, if one is a registered Democrat, then one is a member of the Democratic Party; if one is a registered Republican, that person is also a member of the Republican Party. The GOP (Grand Old Party) is a synonym for the Republican Party, so a member of the GOP is simply a Republican, as you just defined your term "GOPers" to also mean. The point, is that to differentiate elected officials, or people within the Party structure (as those who work in the RNC), from their registered voters, you cannot simply call them "members," and expect anyone to know that is what you mean. Try using words like "politicians," or "officials," to clarify when you don't mean the Party's full membership (their registered members, voters, "the base").
