'Quietly, and very much under the radar, Ron Paul, the Texas congressman who no pundit believes has a serious chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination, is staging a bit of comeback, returning to his position as a solid No. 3 candidate in the GOP race.

According to the USA Today/Gallup poll released on Tuesday, Paul was at 13%, displacing Rep. Michele Bachmann, who fell to 5% and into a three-way dead heat with former House speaker Newt Gingrich and businessman Herman Cain. Bachmann, who won a straw poll in Iowa last month, had been as high as second place before Texas Gov. Rick Perry entered the race in August, upsetting the standings.'

He's not "under the radar", he's being intentionally hidden by the media. Check out this story on his recent 2nd place poll result from New Hampshire:

    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/was...poll-romney-huntsman-ron-paul-rick-perry.html

"His closest rival, who is not Rick Perry" is a long way to go to avoid mentioning who came in second.

Good, I might actually be voting Republican this time then. I am glad to see Ron Paul is still languishing in 3rd place. I wont vote for him.

Yeah, a lot of people still either want a progressive Dem or a progressive GOP. Either way, you still have a progressive.

You still don get it.. surveys and polls are so flawed as not to be believed.
I wouldn't care if Romney was at 1%..if he is my guy ..he is my guy..for a reason..not because some idiots say he's up 4 pts or down 4 pts..
    Its called Character.
    Not Illusion and image.

Perry is already fading away..I'd love a direct debate between Romney and Paul for 1 hour.Every time Paul speaks more people shake their heads..
    GIVE him air time !!

    Paul would get slaughtered.

Lol Romney is an intellectual airhead that flip flops constantly in order to appease voters, he would get absolutely crushed in a 1 on 1 debate with Dr. Paul (who has read tons of books on economics).

I love how in the debates they pose questions towards Paul to make him sound nutty... the audience laughs at him for saying such things then he explains it then they applaud him. Odd isn't it?

    I am scared.

" Thus Romney became one of only 15 students to enroll at the recently created joint Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration four-year program coordinated between Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.[37]
He graduated in 1975 cum laude from the law school, in the top third of that class, and was named a Baker Scholar for graduating in the top five percent of his business school class.[33][37 from Wiki.."

..and Paul read tons of books.
But he ( Paul ) did stay at a Holiday Inn ..

The flip flop is sooooo old..almost as old as Paul.
In any 5 minute discussion Paul scares away more voters with his narrative of old school policies that have been dead and buried for a loong time.
Let's face it... the ant- Establishment vote is for 1 thing and 1 thing only ..

I know it and you know it.. the Paul / Johnson dream ticket.

Calling for the relaxation of the Federal war on Pot.Paving the way for legalization. There is your Broad support.
No politicians..no companies..just left over hippies and kids..
    the anti war faithful.

    Puff Puff..

Maybe you should try watching the debates when they ask the questions... but your obvious Hate for anyone who supports/approves Ron Paul surpasses rationality you'll simply continue to defame him. Take a breather for a few weeks and stop typing about Ron Paul all the time... or is it revenge for being called out for being a Romney the Flip Flop supporter?

Heck I voted for Ron Paul in the opinion thread side..
Your guy could stand on the stage..wet his pants and you clowns would still support him.

I support a real Republican who played by the rules..knows whats at stake..and has 20X's the funds to run against Obama's BILLION dollar smear campaign.

When he tries to smear Romney you know what gets played?

    Politics ?
    of course..but the race card isn't ..
It will be Obama attacking the MORMON RELIGION in order to defeat Romney..Think about it for more than a second.

Obama will be seen in reality for what he really is..voters will leave him by the thousands..The Democratic party could be set back decades before recovery.

The reverse discrimination card will be the final blow to the farce that democrats represent minorities..diversity ..and the poor better than anybody.

When the curtain is pulled to reveal the emperor has no Heart..no brains..no courage and no magical red slippers..the nation will hit bottom and finally start to heal.
1 man can rebuild what is broken..hurt.. and divided.
The man that had his faith attacked and didn't put religion before his country.

    Romney.

If I had the choice of voting for Romney or Obama, I'd vote Obama. They'd both do the same crap, and I don't want the Republicans getting blamed for it.

Ron Paul will never win the nomination due to his foreign policy. Fair or not, the perception is that he feels America had it coming to it, in regards to terrorist attacks and he feels Bin Laden should not have been killed (even though most Americans feel Bin Laden got exactly what he deserved). Again, not saying if it's right or not, but it is what is perceived and no majority is going to vote for someone with those perceived viewpoints.

Not true. Paul matches up against Obama better than most Republican candidates according to the polling.

    Ok..for a second..

    Romney is a democrat...So what ?
He is still the best guy out there in terms of what he has done.. accomplished..and how he has saved failed stuff including state budgets and health care.
    Read his bio.
From grade school through college top of class.
    That doesn't happen by accident.
Brains and the ability to reason..count.Hard work .NOT CHEATING.

In his religion.. He won the highest Mormon award for missionary work...
again ..that wasn't because he played Mormon at BYU and went to partys..

    Charitable work.
Besides saving the Olympic games he gave his complete 1 million dollar salary to charity..
Same for when he was Governor of Mass.
His work at Bain..saving that failing business. You may not like his methods..but they worked..companies were saved ..jobs created.

See any reason at all for saying this guy has earned the right to be President over some of the other so called safe crony candidates ?

Has he done things you dont agree with?
Yes..but look at the positives compared to those negatives.
Then do the same for the others.
