Survey has Paul quietly surging into top three

'LAKE JACKSON, Texas -- In a new Gallup survey, 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul takes third place among top GOP contenders and is within striking distance of second. The results, which are based on a survey of Republican and Republican-leaning independents, have Paul at 13 percent and ahead of most of the Republican primary field. These results come just a day after a newly released Rasmussen poll showed him within 1 percent of President Obama in a head-to-head match up.'

    Authorized and paid for by..

    ( drum roll )

    Ron Paul.

    Imagine that ?

So my 1st debate question would be..
If failing to win any primary ..will you bow out and support the Republican who wins ?
or.. will you run as 3rd party candidate again ?

If he dances..refuses to say YES ..or worst yet says yes then runs...

Republicans should strip him of all remaining congressional power..and declare him what he really is.. a loyal ally of Democrats.
His 10% fractured anti establishment vote will be the difference in Obama's win.

    He is no conservative..
    He is a libertarian.

    and wrong.

and all these idiotic polls and straw votes prove what length this guy is willing to stoop to win..HE IS manufacturing support where there is none.

another career politician refusing the truth.

    Gee ..what a change. :fart:

Agreed...unfortunately...this maybe Ron Paul's last kick at the can.

This maybe the last chance for a LONG time before someone of his clarity runs again.

Again? AGAIN? You folks are going to give your money to Ron Paul? Just like the last time. ZERO chance of being the next president. None. Zip.
Get Exxon to endorse him and then you get a chance.
Get Bank of America to endorse him and then you get a chance.
Get Wal-Mart to endorse him and then you get a chance.
    Baring that, None!

Ron Paul is an OK guy, but can't win. He'd make a good FED chief or something though.

I saw that at the bottom of the article. Are you claiming this means the poll was conducted by Ron Paul's campaign? The poll is from Gallup. Ron Paul and his campaign staff did not conduct or pay for the poll. They paid for the article to report the results.

1st we dont know where or how the poll as questioned.

and the Libertarians are a threat to conservatives more than liberals.

and who and where does Gallup conduct these polls..

TEXAS ? In a college town?..

The report was paid for by Paul..and it is NO stretch of the imagination to figure it was rigged to be the beneficiary Of who reported it.

or how many other polls say something entirely different..
Polled by different people in different areas.,

I bet if it was in UTAH he would finish dead last.

Authorized and paid for by Ron Paul 2012 PCC. www.RonPaul2012.com

    CONDUCTED IN TEXAS..

and he is guilty as charged.

Ron Paul isnt perfect..There are some things I dont agree with him on.. but as the power of the office of President goes.. he cant empower alot of those changes without approval of congress... we have seen how that goes with Obama.

What Ron Paul can and will do is stop abuse of executive order.. and that is a whole hell of alot of help. He will remove corporate sponsered appointees and he wont replace them with new ones. He will stop corporate welfare and put a lid and stipulations on social welfare. He will stop unconstitutional international acts. He will bring to light the actions of lobbyist in Washington.

I am afraid for Ron Paul if he gets elected.. or even looks like he will be elected.

Guess what all these presidents have in common besides being asassinated while in office...

    Abraham Lincoln
    James Garfield
    William Mckinley
    John F Kennedy

Yep.. all were opponents of the power of the privately controlled central banking system and all were shot dead.

Oh, because they actually want to conserve spending?

"Conservatives": We need to make SERIOUS CUTS! You know, as long as we grow military, let Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security continue to grow, don't cut corporate welfare, the War on Drugs, Department of Education, FCC, FDA, air traffic control, or any of that stuff, of course. The real thing we need to cut is OBAMACARE! What else, you ask? Oh, um... good question.

    Libertarians: Cut virtually everything.

You tell me who's more conservative.

Except they would CUT military spending 1st.

No war is just..then no military is needed.
Wont build or update military systems..

They only say CUT now because the Conservative/tea party hold serve.

They didn't say it when Democrats were in power.
Paul has been saying it forever..yet never forced the issue did he ?

    I DONT WONDER WHY.

Considering that we spend 800 Billion (*)(*)(*)(*)ing dollars in "defense" spending every year.. we could eaasily cut that amount to 500 hundred billion and still be outspending everybody in the world by 5 to 1 at worst.

Paul doesnt say NO war is just.. he is saying the wars we are in are unjust.. unconstitutional and he is NOT wrong.

As far as libertarians being a greater threat to the two status-quo parties than they are to each other... (*)(*)(*)(*) right.. and as it should be.. the only diffrence between the two parties now are who is paying them off and who they are in the pocket of.. neither want any real cuts in spending.. they just dont agree on looting spoils allocation..

Do true Libertarians despise dmecrats and republicans.. (*)(*)(*)(*) right.. and with good reason.

    The trouble IS..
Paul will NEVER say what war is just..and like all the other presidents say 1 thing about ending wars..yet that seems to just vanish into the mist.

Sure you could cut defense 1/2.. and how many others would you be putting out of work?
What do you want to do with our defense factories/jobs.. outsource them to China?
It sounded wonderful in the flower power hippie years..drugs and peace..
I doubt that our enemies will love us any better.

And while he ends phone taps..passenger searches..our terrorist friends will just become more bold.

Bring to light the lobbys ?

You guys are already on drugs.

I am saying he wont post any other polls saying he is slipping or going down..he cherry picks.

    Go figure.

and he didn't go to Utah did he.
    IOWA and kids.. Texas..
I am fine with the polls and what it says about Romney
They are not an accurate count..nor reflect the majority at the TIME of the election.

    Obama beats anybody else.

He voted for the Authorization of the US Military to engage the Al Qaeda/Taliban... It was self defence and he supported it. Sorry if he only finds Wars that are purely self defence to be justified rather than Aggressive War/Preemptive Wars.

So the Military and the Military Industrial Complex is too big to fail and must be kept as the Status Quo even though it drains from us around a Trillion Dollars a year or more? Clearly your only argument is a Fallacy to necessity.

Also you seem to have forgotten Ron Pauls own words of reestablishing bases in the US so the Income the Soldiers in the newly Stationed Based go directly to Locals in the US.

Hippie days? I guess you probably supported the Vietnam War too? Yeah that went extremely well when we're fighting an enemy that we cannot chase and an enemy that wears no Uniforms or has a Country. Welcome to fighting for the next 3,000yrs to "stablize" the region.

He wants to leave Security to the Airports not some Government (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)bag who thinks wearing a Uniform makes them have Authority over someones rights. Having insane practices and it's being publicly funded is repulsive.

Cherry Picks? Why wouldn't he Cherry Pick polls or news articles? If you do a simply Google Search you'll find news articles trying to associate him with Racists and Axe murderers. When a person runs a campaign you don't give light to stupidty or articles that demonize/defame you.

Paul formally declared his candidacy for the 2008 Republican nomination on March 12, 2007, on C-SPAN.[106][107] His campaign had intense grassroots support—his supporters were said to "always show up"[108]—- and he had dozens of wins of GOP "straw polls". Additionally, Ron Paul garnered much popularity among college students, with about 500 Students for Ron Paul groups formed across the United States.[109] Few major politicians endorsed Paul, but he won the endorsement of Houston political activist Clymer Wright, the main promoter of the municipal term limits imposed in Houston during 1991.[

From wikipedia.. This poll winning is just OLD garbage, rehashed and using what failed last time.

Do you guys ever read up on any history ?

    Strange.

You seem more emotional about him not winning then his supporters do about him winning.

Maybe you should find a hobby to vent that anger of yours?

    As for Paul's chances?

    We shall see.
