As there is no way of actually preventing it from occurring, there is no point in attempting to achieve such.
Are you claiming to be Republican enough to judge? Discussions in forums don't mean you're actually anti-gun, or pro-gun. They're just that, discussions. Actions define who you are. This is all talk. You don't actually buy into phony patriotism like the crowd that has taken over the GOP now, the bone spur CIC and all his fake patriot cronies do you?
Restricting the legal access to firearms does nothing to prevent the illegal acquisition by those that either have no interest in complying with the law, or have greater fear for their well being than the consequences of noncompliance.
Everyone knows this. Gun control is nothing more than a means to restrict, as much as possible, the right of the law abiding to keep and bear arms.
So what? They have gun laws all over the world, and most people honor them. Do you base a society on criminals?
So the assertion on the part of yourself is factually incorrect and based on nonsense. The above is an assumption, not fact. If the public of the society fears victimization by the criminal element more than it does the legal consequences of violating the law, then there is a serious problem to be had, and it cannot be addressed by passing more laws.
Describing the method of engaging others that is being utilized by yourself, while honest, is hardly conductive of open, honest, and legitimate debate and discussion.
