You have a wrong definition of fascism? I totally don't agree with your definition.

Your definition just blatently tries to associate nationalism with fascism...

So whats your solution? Put everyone together like the soviet union and strip away of their ethnic identity and suffer disorder Identity disassociation?

WOW - thats not going to work either...

Fascism is defined very extensively . Check it out
Any country denying freedom of speech through repressive arms of the ruling Government and controlling the Media -- historically TV , Radio , and News Papers is essentially Fascist .
And of course Russia also deniesall other Human Rights and is almost the most corrupt State on the planet .
Putin has developed an unusually rigorous fascist State where the State Police are the Government and the Government are the State Security Forces .
    Anything missing ?
The only major blunder he has made is in not controlling the Internet as forcefully as China does .
He will try to change this from Monday but this further repression might be too late and , ironically , be a principal cause of his failing grip .
Russia now have more Internet users than any other country in Europe and they hate Putin and his corrupt State .
Did you read that Kay the Bee Gee ?

NOW I AGREE WITH YOUR DEFINITION of fascism and not HIS....

Fascism has authoritarian qualities... but not denoting an ethnic identity.

Failed to see what is "Kremlin's Dangerous Flirtation with Fascism & Nationalism", while reading this article. "Kremlin" is playing the opposite card.

.....Attempts to get additional percentage, usually it is Zhirinovskiy's games. But now communists joined the came, however, it is irrelevant. They are now all about "We are for everything good and against everything evil!!!". So they are both for "to reinstate ethnic affiliations in Russian passports" and "international friendship!!!111". Nothing new beyond the Moon.

Fascism is a nationalist ideology. And nationalists tend to fascism. Nationalism is a bad ideology. Nation are fictional...

LOL ..HAHAHAAH.. so if you are defining ethnic nationalism as a form of fascism, your definition of a democracy would be a soviet communism where everyone has to melt into this blob and promote this generic BLAH ethnic group with Disassociative Identity Disorder?

maybe you can share your idea with the conflict of israeli and palestinian nationalism ? LOL....

and saying nationalists tend toward fascism IS JUST AN OPINION AND NOT A FACT...

    Unfortunately it is true .
Nationalism is about looking inward --- thinking you are better and more especially talented .
    Obviously this is nonsense .
Now look at Fascism and tell me where the differences are .
Even America is now a Fascist State despite huge attempts at denial and desperate attempts to shout down critics .

nationalism has nothing to do with self-esteem and if you are better than anyone else...

nationalism just is a concept for ethnic interests. If you are going to immigrate to country, you will eventually assimilate and not just practice your ethnicity and get welfare benefits from your host state to move your demographics into the country...

Unfortunately practise never matches pure theory.
Never . Ask the Nashi .

Here is a happy article published this morning which will put us in a good mood as we celebrate with United Russia ( Spit)

The German magazine Stern interviewed a former Putin's PR manager Gleb Pavlovsky in Moscow for its article "Dark Putin's system of power (Putins dunkles System der Macht)". Earlier, Mr Pavlovsky a made a megastar out of Putin and invented for him the concept of "managed democracy" as a substitute for the word "Putin's dictatorship".

In the interview, Mr. Pavlovsky pointed out that the Russians should not vote in any circumstance for Putin's party on December 4, as it brings death to the country .

"I believe that Putin is now dangerous for Russia. He lost all touch with reality. He considers himself a genius. He is sure that no one knows better Russia than he".

For its part, the magazine points out that Putin and his dark power system are doomed to death and writes:

"As shown by the revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, the half-life of supposedly all-powerful rulers sharply decreased. Putin will also face a difficult time. This is confirmed not only by jeering at him at a boxing match.

According to surveys, 22% of Russian would prefer to leave the country. The figure makes even 50% for the youth and educated people. This is the highest rate since the collapse of the Soviet Union. And this is an alarm for the Kremlin.

"People feel stagnation", said a Russian political scientist Olga Kryshtanovskaya. "They go on holiday to Turkey and see that the people even there live better than in our villages just a few miles from Moscow. The villages have no sewage system up till now. She laughs bitterly: "Stalin acted cleverly, lowering the Iron Curtain, and banning travel abroad".

Author : And Putin has made a huge blunder by not controlling the Internet in the way China does . He may regret that and be unable to do much about it without causing huge dissatisfaction , protests and even an uprising

Here's howe it is being handled now

KGB news agency Interfax reports that a total 51 500 of Putin's military and police, including 2000 militants from the "special troops" ( means FSB), have been sent to Moscow.
On Tuesday, there were many accounts from eyewitnesses who were scared and frightened by the fact that columns of military trucks of Putin's forces are on the streets of Moscow. This is being covered extensively by bloggers in the social networks.
Of course disturbances must be controlled and "made peaceful" . But this is about Putin ready to resort to Syria like violence if his world is seriously threatened .
