"Moscow and Ankara have started the technical work on ‘Turkish Stream’ the new pipeline to deliver Russian natural gas to Turkey and southern European customers.

The design of a natural gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey is underway, Turkey’s ambassador to Russia Umit Yardim said on Tuesday. "The technological realization of the 'Turkish Stream' project has begun,” the envoy told members of the Russian State Duma in Moscow.

"There are questions that need to be worked out, in particular, how exactly the pipeline will be laid. Both the Russian and the Turkish sides started implementing the technical part of the project, the cooperation will continue. Obtaining permission is an insignificant element of this work until the final decisions are made,” Yardim told a news conference"

To equate 'proof' and 'truth' with the corporate media is an oxymoron. Check out the meaning. :oldman:

That was in Croatia this is in the Ukraine which was a former Soviet State...it's different.

Understand for all the bluster and pride some Pro-Russian Military members here talk about how capable the Russian Military is....such things are but words. Against American made weapons Russian Military Weapons Systems and Forces are good as dead and destroyed.

It is this disparity that exists between Super High Teachnology American Weapon Systems and Old Soviet Era Russian Weapon Systems that would result in the DEATHS of so many Russian Soldiers who are but just KIDS that the United States worries about.

This is not like the Military Forces of Iran vs. Iraq who fought a bitter war with both nations using mostly Soviet Weapons as the small number of American Weapons Systems that Iran had and aquired under the rule of the Shah such as F-14's had gone so long without replacement parts or proper American Designated Maitenence....the Iranian's were not able to use such American Weapon Systems during that war.

Because of this both Iran and Iraq both using Soviet Weapon Systems fought for years without a victor as they both were using the same Soviet made Weapons.

Now the Russian Military that is fighting in the Ukraine is using very much the same weapon systems that the Iraqi's and Iranian's were using back in the 1980's although some of those old Soviet Weapons have been upgraded to an extent.

But if we were to supply the Ukrainian's with New....Top of the Line....Highly Advanced Tech. American Weapon Systems to be used in the fight against invading Russian Military Forces the results would be IMMEDIATE AND STUNNING.

If we the U.S. supplied the Ukrainian Military with even but a few hand and shoulder fired U.S. Weapons Systems such as Shoulder Fired Improved Stinger Anti-Aircraft Missiles....these easy to carry and use American AA Guided Missiles would DEVESTATE Russian Aircraft both Figher/Attack Jets and Choppers to a point no Russian Pilot would want to enter Ukrainian Airspace.

If we supplied the Ukrainian's with the Shoulder Fired FGM-148 Javelin Anti-Tank Missile....widely regarded as the BEST ANTI-TANK GUIDED MISSILE...(ATGM)...in the WORLD.

Russian countermeasures against ATGM's include explosive reactive armor, jammers like the Russian Shtora, and active protection systems (APS) such as the Russian ARENA System.

Jamming is potentially an effective countermeasure to specific missiles that are radar guided, however, as a general purpose defense, it is of no use against unguided anti-tank weapons, and as such it is almost never the only defense. If jamming is used continually, it can be extremely difficult for a missile to acquire the target, locking on to the much larger return from the jammer, with the operator unlikely noticing the difference without a radar screen to see the return.

This is why unlike Russian ATGM's the American Military uses ATGM's that have BACK UP TRACKING any missile that has a BACK UP TRACKING SYSTEM can DEFEAT JAMMING..

Now these are JUST TWO AMERICAN WEAPON SYSTEMS that if we introduced into the Battle Theater would cause MASSIVE LOSSES OF RUSSIAN AIRCRAFT BOTH JESTS AND CHOPPERS, TANKS AND ARMORED VEHICLES and this would mean the number of RUSSIAN SOLDIERS AND PILOT DEATHS WOULD SKYROCKET IN NUMBERS OF KILLED IN ACTION.

From the New York Times. Probably as good a list as any.

Fueling the broader debate over policy is an independent report to be issued Monday by eight former senior American officials, who urge the United States to send $3 billion in defensive arms and equipment to Ukraine, including anti-armor missiles, reconnaissance drones, armored Humvees and radars that can determine the location of enemy rocket and artillery fire.

Michèle A. Flournoy, a former senior Pentagon official who is a leading candidate to serve as defense secretary if Hillary Rodham Clinton is elected president, joined in preparing the report. Others include James G. Stavridis, a retired admiral who served as the top NATO military commander, and Ivo Daalder, the ambassador to NATO during Mr. Obama’s first term.

He still wont address that his entire post here is a lie. The South Stream pipeline was never lost just rerouted.
