This was back in 2021, his military blunder has made the situation worse, and Chinobal has got be taxing his citizens even harder.
They cant even pay their engineers a decent salary, they have experienced a massive brain drain, and need to reinvent the wheel with basic tech which leads to massive security flaws(with all the experienced people gone as well)...That country has already been flushed down the toilet. Like Tough talk brings up,, who the heck is immigrating TO Russia?

What happened with their war game competition, who was the winner of that?

He knew a helluva lot more about it than you do. He had hands on experience with "foreign policy".

The Moscow Times is a Western leading newspaper - so I would take anything they write with a grain of salt. It only represents a small segment of the Russian people.

As for immigrating to Russia, it's not easy. They have very strict immigration laws otherwise the Russian Federation wouldn't exist. I know that they were handling over 5,000 foreign work visas a day in Moscow a few years back and had to enlarge their facilities.

Also Russia doesn't run on a welfare system, so whether someone moves there or is a refugee - like for instance the millions that escaped from Ukraine after the coup, have to be placed.

As for Russia's special operation in Ukraine, well they have taken over 20% which is an area larger than Great Britain. Right now the Russian order is to take Kharkov which is Ukraine's largest city and industrial center because its location constitutes a direct threat to Russia. Although the area itself is predominantly Russian, Kharkov unlike the other cities, does not have a Russian speaking majority.

If Zalensky continues the fighting, as he has been doing rather than conceding defeat, then Russia will take Nikolaev which will open the way to take Odessa. The fighting has now been going on for 3 days with an enormous loss for Kiev as it tries to retake Kherson and stop Russia from taking Nikolaev.

I have to wonder just how many men does Zalensky plan on sacrificing? The latest Ukrainian loss is over 2 thousand. Once Russia takes Odessa, Transnistra will unite with Russia and the Black Sea will be closed off to Ukraine.

If the oil wells in Syria are under US military control, and the oil is not going to the Syrian people and the Assad government, then where is it going?

    We're not stupid you know?

It's a good chance for NATO and the US to upgrade sound signatures, and sus out propulsion parameters, rate of turn, anti torpedo defense, etc. Their is also technology to play with regarding the Chinese electric subs.

Is it as bad as California?

Washington started a precedence by calling their invasions special operations, like for example the one in Syria - even when they committed them on false premises. So why does it bother you that Russia's following suit?

I didn't even think that Syria had any kind of substantial oil reserves.

    To the last statement: debateable.

First, do you believe in capitalism?
If not you won't like the answer. Someone's paying for that oils protection, and distribution.

Who are the American troops protecting the Syrian oil wells from, other than the Syrian people?
    .
Russia is the only nation that was invited into Syria by its legally elected President Assad. The Americans were never invited and under the pretense of a special operation to fight ISIS, they occupied Syria's oil and gas rich area as well as its most productive land.

ISIS was eliminated in Syria a few years back by the Syria army, except for the area occupied by the American forces. Washington wouldn't clear out ISIS, because they needed them as an excuse for why they weren't giving Syria back its oil so they could rebuild their war-torn country.

More recently Washington admitted that their real intent in Syria was not to eliminate ISIS, but to overthrow the Assad government. Washington knew that as long as the Syrian people backed Assad with his all-inclusive society, the US wouldn't be able to weaken and balkanize Syria the way they did Yugoslavia.

You know that in most nations, students are immersed in foreign language and usually speak anywhere from 3 to 5 languages.

Russian soldiers are poorly trained, stupid and not motivated. You can't expect the Chinese to do exercise with a bunch of dumb barbarians who like to steal toilets. :(

What makes you think Assad was "legally elected"? Has the United States ever certified him as "legally elected"? Remember that's the only thing that matters.

Russia was given no choice in Ukraine. When Poroshenko sued for Peace with Donetsk and Lugansk at Minsk, Kiev promised they would follow through on the Minsk II Treaty, and decentralize the government and Federate Ukraine. Kiev did neither, instead their troops continued to attack and kill the Russian speaking civilians. This went on for 8 years. France and Germany who promised to enforce the Minsk II Peace Treaty did absolutely nothing.

Poroshenko admitted recently, that the only reason he signed it was to give Ukraine time to build up their forces - something Nato has been helping Ukraine do for 8 years. Seems honor and respect for international law, has no place In the Western world.

When Biden said that Russia was going to attack Ukraine, even though the Russian troops were 200 miles away, it was merely an excuse to send heavy arms to the Nazi troops on the demarcation lines of the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics. When Putin realized a full genocide and ethnic cleansing was under way, he gave full recognition to the 2 Republics as separate nations. This allowed them to ask Russia for peacekeepers.

When the Nazis attacked the Russian peacekeepers in Donetsk, Moscow had the legal right to enter Ukraine the same way the US entered Syria to fight ISIS, and thereby eliminate those who attacked them.

Russia's economy is booming, while the West is dying from its own sanctions. The stupidity is unbelievable.

I'm dancing now so full of glee
to tell you that our dear country
is selling grain and all its wheat
and at a price that can't be beat.

This way the nations I deem fair

will all partake of rightful share.
And as I'm covering all their needs
while other lands fill up with weeds,

then pity those for they do toil
with neither gas nor precious oil.
And as their empty stomachs growl.
And as their dogs will cry and howl.

And as their limbs shake from the cold.

I'll make my statement loud and bold.
You should have known better you idiots.

Syrian oil is more believable than that Assad won a free and fair election.

Not as much as India and Pakistan but two rival powers for sure - both housing 20% of the world population .. 40% in total.

India's relationship with China has nothing to do with the Russian sanctions though mate .. Oops :)
