You crave a Russian Anschluss? I remember the newsreel films of crowds cheering the Nazis' entrance in Vienna.

The USSR was a baleful reincarnation of the 19th century Russian empire, lacking only the ethics. I don't know if you're serious, but if you are, it's an unconscionable endorsement of naked force crushing the peoples.

Ukrainian Neo Nazis from Svoboda Party come into the headquarters of a television channel in Kiev. Threaten to kill him. Physically abuse him and force him to resign as head of the television channel.

What was his "crime"? His coverage of the Ukraine crisis was too moderate and not too "pro Ukrainian"

This is the freedom West supports., Congradulations !

    Odessa is Russian !
Odessa is of Russia and by right ought to be a part of the Russian Federation.

    If I remember correctly, Odessa;
A relative "New" city built in the mid - late 1800's as the Paris of the Black Sea.
Avant garde. Intellectual. A place where Jews went too assimilate.

Let me tell you what the result will be of Putin not simply waiting for the people in the Crimea to use the mechanisms allowed them within the Ukrainian Constitution to create a LEGAL REFERENDUM were all Crimean's could vote to succeed...as THAT is all we asked Putin to do...wait and do it legal.

At first it will start with bombings and sniper fire as Ukrainian Nationals begin a systematic campaign of Insurgency.

And at first the Putin Controlled Russian Media will not report such events until the BODY COUNT starts adding up and Russian Forces start being sent home in Body Bags.

This will continue and the Crimea will be like a Northern Ireland of the past for Russia.

Then Putin will order a large Military operation to quell the violence and the World Media will broadcast video's of Russian Tanks and Personal Carriers traveling through neighborhoods and the streets of the Crimea.

Then IED....Roadside Bombs with SHAPED CHARGES will start taking a toll and even MORE Body Bags containing dead Russian KIDS....18 to 20 year old Regular Army KIDS that would have been sent in to patrol as Russian Spetsnaz retaliate under Putin's orders and then very nasty reports will start coming out of the Crimea.

The United States and Europe at this point will have no choice but to enact full Economic Sanctions upon Russia and this along with a growing Russian Public's anger and condemnation of what will be known as PUTIN'S WAR...will begin to BOIL and erode all public confidence in Putin.

Poland has received a lot of money from America,so it's better, and Bulgaria have not received it - so it is worse than in Russia, although a little bit better than Ukraine

The last Ukrainian soldiers loyal to KIev have left Crimea.

Out of 20000 Ukrainian soldiers who were stationed in Crimea, only 2000 stayed loyal and returned to mainland Ukraine.

18000 chose to join the Russian Army or simply return to civilian life. Those who defected to Russian Army will get a 400% pay increase and keep all their ranks and years of service.

Must be very very embarrasing for the West and their puppets in KIev.

Not really because nothing will be written up about it in the English speaking press, and if told they'll say it's a lie, and that they all left because they didn't want to starve in poverty stricken Russia. :frustrated:

As for the ones who left, they were probably 'nationalists' from the Western part of Ukraine and couldn't stand the thought of being in the Russian army. Anyway Lavrov told Kerry today that Ukraine must become federalized for the sake of the people in the south and the east.

What will happen to Odessa, Kharkov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and other cities? Look at the current events. A split within Maidan rulers began. Look at the presidential candidates. I do not see any moderate voices among them. Timoshenko cries she loves Ukrainian people, but she is not far from our Sarah Palin intellectually. She wants to exterminate Russians with nuclear weapon... EU did not have plan B, what they will do after they created this chaos? It seems, they revised their view on Nazi style nationalists, but it is too late now. EU wants bloodshed in Ukraine. They do not like referendums, because they know people of Ukraine gravitate rather towards Russia.

Congratulate the people of Syria and President Assad with another victory over the terrorists. I wish rather to destroy Islamic terrorists and foreign mercenaries. Let there be peace on earth Syria.

Ukrainians are the same as Russians. It is almost like prosecutor of California "would hunt Texans". Ukrainians shared power in the former Soviet Unions, served in high ranks military and were actively involved in KGB, killing both Russians and Ukrainians. Only a small fraction from Western Carpathian regions of Ukraine is involved in terrorist style activities in today's Ukraine. This is alien to people of Ukraine, who are represented by both Ukrainians and Russians. Ukraine is Orthodox Christian country. Carpathian Ukrainians are like foreigners, they are Catholics. By the way, the prosecutor is doing great job, justice prevails.

They are idiots, when it comes to foreign affairs. They know American junk food and value foreign oil, but talking of "human rights" is a pure hypocrisy. By the way, Ms. Timoshenko is not more qualified to be in the government, then Sarah Palin was.

I visited Odessa several times. I was in Donetsk and still have relatives in Dnepropetrovsk and several friends in Kiev. Some are my former students. This is almost surreal to me seeing Ukraine sinking into chaos, good people get into trouble, because of political games of superpowers. As I wrote before, Ukrainians made excellent officers in the former Soviet Union army and they are in today's Russian army. In the communist era many Ukrainians were nasty KGB agents and Stalin's servants, killing Russians and Ukrainians who got under slightest suspicion and many Ukrainians died in GULAG, just like Russians, Jews and other ethnicities. Ukrainians and Russians shared all troubles during Soviet era and during WWII. It took EU and USA to bring violence and bitter unjustice in this country. I watched CNN, ABC and alike for years. Only now I realized how much of lies and propaganda was in their reportages were. Now, when they came up to a region well familiar to me, I do not watch them for news any more. There are no objective analyses about events in Ukraine at all and what they present is a bunch of lies and distorted interpretations, no free press any more, just BS.

CNN started off as an objective station until the owner Ted Turner married Jane Fonda, and then it changed drastically and began following the same line as NBC, CBS and ABC. The worse was during the war with Serbia when it was called Clinton's station. They were showing the Albanian Kosovans exiting Kosovo from morning until night. I did notice in the background some men from the Middle East and found out that they were guarding the exits to make sure no Kosovans would leave. Later on I read that CNN was paying the Kosovans five dollars each time they exited for the cameras so they could show they were being ethnically cleansed. It seems they somehow forgot to pay someone and he complained.

Even worse than CNN is the BBC. Their spins in just about everything never ends, and they will never correct themselves when they find out they were wrong... proving of course what their real intent was. So much for a free and objective press.

Everyone has their leanings, but in comparison to the American press, I find RT more objective and not so hate filled... almost to the point that one would have to wonder if our journalists primary major was in lies and deception. :disbelief:
