"In accord with the constitution, there is separation of church and state in Russia," he told Interfax. Attorney Dagir Khasavov, who said about the need to introduce Sharia courts in Russia, will be prosecuted to part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as abasement of human dignity”.

The Prosecutor General's Office believes that in an interview with television channel REN-TV, Khasavov made a statement aimed at propaganda of exclusivity or superiority of citizens on the basis of their religious affiliation.
