I don't know the answer to this, so it is a sincere question. Is the gun used by the shooter in Uvalde capable of blowing out a lock on a door?

 

Unless the school used very poor quality doors it’s highly unlikely. Door breaching with firearms is usually special loads from a 12 gauge shotgun. If the school was serious about security even a breaching shotgun would not be an easy lock pick, especially for someone with no experience.

Now the serious part of the answer is complete I’ll add: If he had used a 9mm that blows the lungs out of the body, he likely could have blown the door off its hinges with one shot.

 

Maybe? Probably? There is a such a thing as bullet proof locks. So, it would depend on the lock.

 

I had to reread this thread because I skimmed over it and missed a huge point. You’re telling me they are actually targeting their kids too? Wow, that is the lowest of the low. Can’t say I’m surprised as they took shots at Baron Trump for 4-5 years too. Subhuman behavior.

I can almost guarantee it’s never happened. Can you even imagine if Republicans had organized a movement to harass the Obama daughters at their school? The left would rage like nothing we have ever even seen before. They would take the streets and scream like banshees.

The Left can't protest it at the Supreme Court building. The Democrats have shut it down and fenced it all off to prevent any protests that they know could very likely turn embarrassingly violent.
The outer perimeter of fence extends all the way into the black asphalt paved parking lot.

 

It will be interesting to see how this ends up.

Democracy? Uh no, it was very undemocratic how Garland did not get a confirmation hearing and Trump got his in even later in his term than Garland was nominated. Republicans fight dirty, and democrats need to fight dirtier for things to stay democratic... but not so dirty as harassing and attacking justices.

As much as I dislike SCOTUS and think it's full of crazy illogical people who should not be making any significant decisions, no I don't think harassment and violence against them is the solution. It would set a bad precedent, if precedent is even still a word that matters.
