I say Democrats should come out of (D)enial and admit their love of Socialism and Socialist Bernie Sanders (S). .....as well as the fact that Campaign Spending apparently determines the vote of the majority of mind numb Democrat voters. . . . .
As a semi-libertarian, I like Bernie Sanders, because he takes on the fact that our government is bought off, especially by the largest banks, and he takes on the Federal Reserve. However, I think that a statist solution will fail, because these jokers not only pay for the services of politicians, they are in think-tanks together and have an overall ideology of rule by the elite. Big government + big corps..that's the trend we're on. So I say, tear it down.
If you and others would pull your heads out and face reality, then it would be reasonably evident to you that a modicum of socialist policies is (and has LONG BEEN) proper for this nation (and others) to remain healthy. In my view, only a fools rallies around "capitalism", as if it is the one or only "true" answer. I'm surely a capitalist, but I'm no fool about what capitalism is and does lead to without effective checks/balances in place. What Sanders is addressing in the 'linked' video, surely does NOT concern itself solely with "Democrats" or "Progressives", but others as well. Elections should NOT be purchased, as if they were "products" on a shelf.
H. Sanders was as correct about "chicken", as B. Sanders is about the need to amend the "U.S. Constitution".
Bernie { THE Only certifiable Socialist in the U.S. Senate } has every right to voice his opinion on the floor.I wouldn't want it any other way. That is the process our Founders set up.It is open and forthright. How beneficial or productive,I'm not sure. Are Corportations People.? It's hard to argue not.It would be like pretending the Vatican is only tradition and rules that do not involve actual Cardinals and Bishops. When last I checked they are still Human Beings. Not too much in some circles. So yes, corportations are people.Have to have people. Not just bldgs. For vacant bldgs. are what we see in detroit. Bernie Sanders is ticked because he a confirmed and proud Socialist.Meaning he loathes Big Corportation and Profits. Need I say more.
Sanders is CORRECT about what he's proposing. So be it, that he is a "socialist"... that label matters-not to me at this point.
I think the Supreme Court's decision was proper and Rep. Sanders is a socialist ideologue. He has no interest in the U.S. Constitution and is simply trying to promote his political agenda.
We'll have to see about that, as Sanders' proposal is NOT the only one pointing to the same issues. ALL politicians have a political agenda they are promoting. I happen to think that Sanders is addressing something that ALL Americans need to pay close attention to.
Besides sanders being the only self avowed socialist in our congress, I am wondering if he has as much trouble with the unions giving so much of their govt money to democraps to where the union members dues are channelled straight to the democrap party?
Irrelevant to me; the man is RIGHT about this. ... The "union" aspect must ultimately be addressed. Even so, Sanders is on the proper track IMO.
Sounds like Ron Paul to me. How odd. That THE Most Liberal/radical voting record in the U.S. Senate belongs to Libertarian/Socialist Bernie Sanders and as I write there isn't a nickles worth of difference between he and Ron Paul. Kinda neat.
I say Bernie for President 2012 Now Sanders vs Paul would be a great election. Battle of the Extremists.
Yes indeed... he and others thinking of similar solutions for our nation, are aiming right at the problem.
What was the Supreme Court's rationale for declaring a corporation to be a person but not holding them to the same limitations a person is held to on the amount of money they can legally donate to a campaign and allowing them to keep their donations secret which a person is not allowed to do? I take it the 5-4 vote was a Conservative majority?
I agree as well! Bernie is a socialist huh? Well, if socialism means embracing his ideology on this particular matter, and if corporate stuffed shirts don't like his suggestion, and republicans also completely disagree with him, then, I guess I am in love with socialism. IMO, the man makes a whole lot of sense.
