She didn't do anything wrong. Someone should give her a medal for providing needy people with delicious, delicious bud.

How are we destroying lives over plants. The world would be a better place if more people smoked.

Get far enough into the bad boy drugs and it will. Although there ARE checks and balances in the mental health acts, by their very natures they are restrictive

Sorry cannot agree with that - ANY drug has a downside the illicit ones - more than most

We don't have to agree - to each their own.

However, I don't disagree about the negative consequences of cannabis use - if you smoke it you're getting a lot of burnt plant matter, which means a lot of tar and all the chemicals that come with that. Hence why I usually vaporize rather than smoke. I save smoking for special occasions. It's also mildly addictive.

But I've found a nice middle ground between health and use - one I'm comfortable with. I don't want or need the state to look after my health. Sure, they have the men with guns and aren't afraid to use them - so I have to follow their edict to some extent, but don't confuse this obedience with acceptance - men with guns doesn't make your position any more appealing, just as a mugger with a knife doesn't make the concept of handing over my wallet any more appealing.

It's been a decade since Ms Corby was initially arrested for drug smuggling in Bali and she has suffered enough even if she were guilty as charged. The issue has developed into a diplomatic standoff between Australia and Indonesia and the Indonesian government may have decided to release her early. Ms Corby may be suffering from severe depression and it's inhumane to send her back to prison where she could commit suicide.
