Here in Quebec, the simple fact that at one point the CEO of Quebecor became leader of opposition created a schnitzstorm about potential conflicts of interests.

 

It's something we do in America where people of all faiths get together and pray for the country. Its' something presidents from both parties have done for decades.

That is before President TinyHands decided to make it all about him.

 

It's not a matter of speaking your mind, it's a matter of speaking your mind where it's appropriate. The whole concept of "Arnold is failing at my fake reality TV show worse than I did." would probably be beneath a president under any circumstance. I never once heard President Obama diss Mark Kirk or President Bush diss Rick Perry. They didn't need to. They were the president and they were above that sort of thing.

But to do that at a NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST, which is supposed to be a non-partisan, feel-good event where we can all put aside our differences and talk about what brings us together, and Trump is complaining about how Arnold's ratings are worse than his ratings (which were actually pretty bad by the time it stopped going from being an actual game show for business grads to a showcase for washed up D-listers trying to get back in the public eye.) on something as inconsequential as a TV show?
