The DOJ had "full access to the President's home," which included "personally handwritten notes, files, papers, binders, memorabilia, to-do lists, schedules, and reminders going back decades."

"DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President's service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President," Bauer said.

"DOJ also took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years."

I hope the investigation continues and it is found how these documents seem to go missing so easily

Thankfully voters made the better decision between the two choices and we have an administration that is fully cooperating with the investigation instead of lying, obstructing or dragging it to court.

A full unrestricted search by the DOJ is what needed to happen here

These documents belong to the people. Hopefully none are sensitive enough to have impacted national security but if they are appropriate charges need to be brought.

It turns out if the Trump admin was just competent and realized these documents were missing, they would have had a real reason to go after Biden and wouldn’t have had to blackmail ukraine.
Glad they’re cooperating but this is getting silly. Probably time to announce he isn’t running again.

Mere minutes and Trump Trump Trump.

This is bad for Biden, real bad. He had stuff from when he was in the Senate and prior to this discovery he already had the friendly media and democrats criticizing him instead of circling the wagons.

The big difference for me is that one took a federal raid to secure the documents (another embarrassment for America that we had to do that) while the other invited them in and allowed a search of the entire property.

What is more concerning for me is that Biden didn’t even seem to realize these documents were all over his home which points to some major problems with carelessness and a general disregard for their contents. trump at least knew where they were.

The largest issues though is what the hell is the Archives doing? Isn’t this their entire job?

Have the FBI yet searched Jill Biden's closets and wardrobes? Because they did it to Melania's in Mar a Lago.

    Sure, it’s bad.
But just imagine if the trump admin had noticed they were missing in 2019. Wouldn’t have had to blackmail ukraine or whine about a laptop.

I can whataboutism better than you because I have more to work with. There seems to be a serious problem with democrats and security issues. Between Clinton’s server, Swalwell’s mistress, Fienstein’s driver and now Biden’s decades of what the left has called treason, it appears no democrats should ever be near anything that’s classified.

I would imagine with them using the term “full access” that does include those locations.

I agree doing a raid was the problem. It was also unnecessary being that the documents were in a room with a lock from the FBI per the FBI instructions. If there was an issue here, it was that the FBI either didn't communicate with itself properly or they used the documents as a pretense to look for other crimes.

    I think so too.
I especially want to know why the DOJ allowed Biden's attorneys full unfettered access to rummage through Biden's stuff after classified information had already been found Nov. 2, 2022. It defies logic that they would allow something like this and also agree to keep this secret for more than two months after the first batch was found. They have NO standing to say that a former president acted irresponsibly when what they did IS the very definition of irresponsible.

They did communicate — they sent him a subpoena to return those documents that were previously unsecured and left in a room beside a public hallway. His team attempted to lie by saying there were no additional documents and then tried to obstruct which they are still continuing to do.

    A subpoena isn’t a recommendation

Had republicans had simply turned against the man that is dragging their party down the public would believe the faux outrage coming from them now but I am glad to see Democrats calling for a full investigation into Biden. I hope the other side can move from party over country soon.

I'm not concerned this is only the fourth separate incidence of them finding classified documents.

This happens seventeen or eighteen more times then perhaps it will prove that Russian troll farms want Trump elected and climate change is real.

"We all know" that Joe never does or did anything wrong. "Come on man" it's Joe. We know him.

The FBI should have been in there searching after the first batch was found on Nov. 2nd. Here we are six batches of classified information later... The people also had a right to know when the first batch was discovered and what they planned to do about it from that day on. Why the secrecy? Why the lack of transparency? Why the wait? What was the point of this?

Keeping it secret and from the people, allowing Biden's attorneys without high security clearance to go through any of Biden's stuff after they knew what was already found six batches of secret documents ago should be grounds for a congressional investigation.

We’ll see what the Special Counsel digs up. It may be determined Biden intentionally influenced the midterm by covering up the story. If Jean-Pierre admits she was told not to say anything Biden will be in it up to his ass.

It would be next to impossible for him to have covered up any investigation as they reported it upon finding the documents unless you have so new found information?

Joe Biden was possibly selling classified secrets. Most spys do a better job of storing documents.
But Joe was better at profiting from them it appears.

Blaming Trump for not knowing Biden had classified documents illegally in his possession? This is a stretch even for you.

Nixon didn’t go to jail. He resigned because he became a liability to the party.

Ron Klain, Biden's WH chief of staff, resigned today and will be leaving Biden's sinking ship within a few weeks. Who could blame him?

I wonder why the Trump supporters are not whining about the house of a sitting president raided by the deep state thugs. Oh. wait....

Now, I am glad that the DOJ is collecting the classified documents that shouldn't be floating out and about.

Documents date back to his Senate days. How long has this been going on?

I’m glad they keep finding documents. More fuel for reporters. Seems Biden’s lawyers lied about finding all the documents.
