The founders were well read. Just because one reads something does not necessarily mean that they accept it.

There is no such thing as a government authority, either. Yet, you refer to and demand that everyone obey the words of people who presume the right to violently control their fellow man. It is a philosophical construct only though most practitioners of obedience to state authority treat it more like a religion.

but you of course know there is.

It’s actual law. I can point to where that authority is

I really don't. I know that some people claim the right to violently control other people, and there are people who believe in that right so firmly that they are willing to enforce that claim and do violence against others. I am not one of them. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who uses violence to control another person, except in self defense, is a criminal, no matter what claim they make about some mystical or divine authority to do so.

I get it, though. You can't prove it exists. As with all religions. those who adhere to the statist one cannot imagine anyone not believing in their holy authority. Christians will cry "there are no atheists in foxholes!" as if to disprove atheism. Statists will cry "you obey the laws government makes" as if that makes them valid or righteous.

"Law" as in words on paper or decrees made by some people who claim the right to violently control others?
That's like believing in magic spells.

again, you of course know there is. You voluntarily agree to that authority, by accepting US citizenship and the rights, privileges and protections it entails.

Of course I can. US government is proof it exists. Canadian government is also proof it exists. Do I need to list every government on earth?
You are free to not obey any law you wish. Nobody is or can stop you. But, you are not free from the consequences of those laws, while you are inside the jurisdiction of a sovereign nation.

it's of course nothing like that.

From where do they gain the right to demand that "voluntary" agreement? Does a person living in a mafia-controlled neighborhood voluntarily agree to their authority?

Did slaves voluntary agree to slavery by not running away?

I see that you believe that the government is the source of rights.

THis is what is called a "tautology" - it rightfully exists because it claims the right.

Do you think I'm referring to one specific government?

You are free, as the shopkeeper, to not pay the mafia protection money. But you are not free from the consequences of your non-payment inside the jurisdiction of your sovereign mob family.

What, you think laws are some holy writ, immoral to violate because the right people claiming the right authority conducted the right rituals?

Statism is a religion. Thanks for providing further evidence of that.

I’m not going to go down this moronic libertarian rabbit hole. We’ve done this dance before and you remain as wrong now as the first time. The facts are these. Government has authority over you. You agree to this authority by remaining in this countries jurisdiction, and enjoy the rights privileges and protections that go with it.
