It's a virus. I don't expect him to be able to keep people alive. I expect him to help keep the population from going into full panic mode and make sure the nation stays intact.. That's it. I think he's done quite well at that.

 

I am surprised they even have to write a story about it being Trumps fault. I thought everyone knew Trump was to blame for all the bad things ever.

Here's the thing - The vast majority of the criticisms against Trump are being made because the statements and decisions that Trump made were objectively dumb and wrong/lies at the time he made them.

 

I'm a libertarian and limited government advocate. I believe the strongest and best way to provide for the masses is to motivate people's inherent human nature to provide for themselves, ultimately benefiting their own family, community, and state. I think government is a necessary evil, but should be limited as to not remove people's motivation and desire to provide for themselves.

Reading your previous posts, you advocate a strong central nanny state and government intervention.

But I am the one that gives the power to government and my positions lead to dictatorships? You're just talking foolish.

Like most big government supporters, they love the government up and to the point that government aligns with their ideology. When it doesnt, like now with Trump as president, they lose their ****. All along, I sit back with a smirk as people like you dont see that you're the ones that gave Trump the power you so hate.

I dont defend Trump, I ridicule those who attempt to blame Trump.

See, their everlasting love of government failed them. The same people who are throwing the biggest fit about this are the same ones who think government should intervene in all aspects of our life, even though the government shows us time and time again that they are not interested in the needs of the people.

It has nothing to do with Trump.

It has to do with people coming to the realization that in fact government DOES suck, against their failed ideologies, and they need a scape goat to continue their praise and dependence on government.

So... government is our savior, except Trump isnt. Blah blah blah.

Stop being so dependent on government and you wont continually need to find a scape goat when they fail you.

And a pandemic fits that definition perfectly.

If you are unhappy in the US because the government is mobilizing resources to fight OCVID-19, maybe you can move somewhere else like Somalia.

No they were not, see Dr. Fauci minimizing the danger in late Feb., and Democratic objections (and China and the WHO) to for instance the China travel ban when it was done. Pelosi's response was to introduce a bill to stop Trump from being able to to travel bans, which was not only stupid of her but probably unconstitutional.

 

Or... you could advocate in defense of the constitution? There are methods to change it if you dont like it. Just sitting around bitching isnt the format.

No and it is ****ing terrible to continue comparing 42,000 dead in four weeks from the novel Covid-19 virus that took place WITH significant pandemic control measures in place to the seasonal flu that occurs every year.

Why the **** would I?

Flu's Kill lots of people every year. This Chinese flu seems to kill more elderly (The majority of deaths here in my state were from nursing home patients), and those with underlying conditions. We knew this from the very start. Why didn't we just demand that they be quarantined and even PAY for their quarantine instead of shutting down the whole nation and it's economy?
That would be less deaths and way, way less damage to our country and it's economy.
