Sen. Murphy says Trump, not China or WHO, to blame for US coronavirus crisis

Because nearly 50K more died from the flu last year under Trump's Presidency than during the H1N1 pandemic of 2009-2010.

The virus is called Covid-19 or the Coronavirus and to continue calling it the Chinese virus is as inappropriate as comparing Covid-19 to the flu. Covid-19 is objectively more contagious and more lethal. For all age ranges.

You are using a talking point that even that "****ing moron" donald trump is smart enough to have dropped weeks ago. Be smarter than trump.

 

The unemployment rate rose faster than at any point in history, the stock market crashed faster than any previous crash, and 40,000 Americans have died in ~3 weeks from this virus.

And you think he has done quite well in keeping the population from going into full panic mode? Well, let me make a few suggestions.

Trump would instill greater confidence and reduce panic if he would stop lying about the virus and his response, if he would stop downplaying the threat posed by the virus, if he would stop touting the benefits of the virus, if he would ensure that every American could get tested for the virus and the antibodies with a valid test, and if he would stop attacking every governor or news journalist for doing their job.

 

More people who are 100 years old or older have died from this virus than people 25 years or younger who have died from this virus, genius.

 

That's just the CNN talking (A play on like when someone says,"That's just the booze talkin!").
You all get the same marching orders from the same place and I hear your ilk parroting that same **** over and over.
The whole world is suffering from this chinese virus and you and your ilk all blame Trump for all of it.

I said that this virus is more lethal and more contagious than the seasonal flu, for all age ranges, because it is more lethal for a 25 year old than the season flu and it is more lethal for a 100 year old than the seasonal flu.

Because of his pathetic handling of the crisis and because he is incapable of the slightest self-criticism, Trump had to find a scapegoat.

Unfortunately for him, fewer and fewer people are getting involved in his conspiracy theories that Trump spent weeks making fun of the coronavirus before reality caught up with him.

Trump is not responsible for Covid hitting the US. I am not sure there's much that could have been done on that front when a global pandemic hits. However, Trump has not handled the crisis well at all. He's deflected at all points, he tried to play off the response as a Democrat hoax, he tried to blame Obama, he refused to take any amount of responsibility, he started a tiff with Governors because the Governors had responsibility for their individual States, he tweets out that certain States need to be "liberated". His continue dismissal of Covid and downplaying its potential harm has sowed the seeds of confusion, frustration, and division in a time when the President should be trying to lead the Republic, calming the People, and bringing us together so that we can better and more efficiently handle the crisis.

If you get into that stupid rhetoric, Spanish flu was America's fault.

An epidemic can occur anywhere in the world. It's the responsibility of nations to protect themselves and take action at the first sign of contagion.

This hasn't been done in US, unlike in many Western countries.
