Sen. Ted Cruz announces presidential bid, vows to 'stand for liberty'

Obama won 70% of the vote when he ran for senate in 2004.

Cruz won 56% of the vote when he ran in 2012.

 

Did anyone see him give that speech. I wonder how is it possible for him to say all of what he said without the teleprompter. I didn't think it was possible. Mr. Cruz must be very smart, wouldn't you agree ?

 

Teleprompters can normally only be seen from one side so the candidate can see the speech but no one else can. It may just be that the teleprompters were transparent from the camera.

 

Did anyone see Mr. Cruz give his speech? He did it without a teleprompter, wow he must be smart. Some candidates sound like bumbling idiots without one.

If Cruz were smart, he wouldn't be digging his own grave. His key policies are not popular at all. He's going to run on a federalism and liberty campaign that covers SSM, gun control, immigration, and massive social spending cuts that only his constituents agree with.

Cruz will revive the Tea Party but instead of protests, there will be support rallies.



Then again, those pretty eyes are so captivating.

His key policies are winners....things that the radical liberal left keeps losing on. Obamacare is a DISASTER and Cruz puts himself in the limelight being against it.....he is against gun control in a time where more people own semi auto rifles and CCW permits then ever before in our history....he is against Unconstitutional amnesty which most of the nation rightly rejects....and he realizes that we need to balance the damn budget. He realizes that being $18 Trillion is UNPATRIOTIC instead of just pretending like Obama (biggest spender in the history of the country) does.

When he gets in the debates he is going to absolutely dominate. I hope unlikeable Hillary is ready to get slaughtered.

Good. We wouldnt be $18 Trillion in debt then and might actually have an economy. Did you know that if this recovery matched the Reagan recovery we would have an economy $2 Trillion bigger? Yes...we would actually have less debt than our GDP instead of, thanks to Obama, having more debt than our economy is even worth.

 

Ted Cruz is smarter than his rhetoric would indicate, he knows how to connect with the GOP base and he's an excellent public speaker. It will hard for him to win a primary that only produces establishment approved candidates and I don't see his views flying in the General election, but he is definitely someone to not underestimate.

 

Sounds like Obama and you worship him.....a divisive, polarizing, prick.....but no one remembers him, probably because he was too busy Chooming it up.

Cruz is a memorable leader....we need that to bring some respect to this country again. Obama has destroyed Americas reputation on the world stage...he made us look weak. We need to be strong again, Cruz would do that.

Obama DID double the national debt . . . and still the economy sucks because . . . Obama sucks. Under current circumstances It's hard to see how a GOPer president going into 2017 could do worse than Obama's done.

 

And Reagan also doubled the National Debt, so why exactly should I look up to him when his "growth" was entirely based on shunting the problem down the line?

 

Do you think Cruz asked the Republucan establishment if it was OK for him to run? Have you seen a parade of Republicans claiming he's their first choice? Should he be forbidden to put throw his hat in the ring? Which Republican said that he's the best qualified candidate?

We had Bush, and he caused this mess in the first place. So it's not hard at all to see how a Republican president could do worse. I lived through it already, I'd rather not again.

 

Obama did double the debt and hes not even done yet... The debt is now bigger than our entire economy is worth thanks to the biggest spender of all time, Barack Hussein Obama.
