If that works! If not we will just go with free money and an eight-hour work week, free vaccination and a cure for cancer and COVID ;)

He pretty much nailed it. Biden's administration is very radical even though Biden, himself, campaigned as a moderate, his congress is a cabal of radical aficionados. I would imagine that some moderate democrats are forced to go along to get along.

"Democrats are misusing the federal government to get their way, regardless of what the law, the Constitution, or the American people have to say," said Tuberville.

The Democrat Party supports abortion on demand, even up to the moment of birth. The party platform states, "Democrats oppose and will fight to overturn federal and state laws that create barriers to reproductive health and rights. We will repeal the Hyde Amendment, and protect and codify the right to reproductive freedom."

Incidentally, in a Marist Poll from Jan-'21, it shows 3/4's of voters are pro-choice, but that most support a time limit for one to seek an abortion, at about 12 weeks. Now we see a congress that wants to reinstate the Hyde amendment and also impose no time limits on having an abortion. Is it any wonder people are fed up with what they perceive is federal overreach?

I'm not sure this involves any tracking at all. It's about law enforcement contacting the app companies with a search warrant and collecting the info from them. I'm also assuming that one would have no idea that such a warrant had been served and the information obtained by the government, as well.

I hope this story wakes women up about the hazards of putting that and other personal information on an app. That's never smart and prudent, and even though abortion is still legal here in Virginia, it's not in other states.

The good news is that those companies are trying to protect women's privacy but I wouldn't count on that at all. Better safe than sorry.

True, but then this also applies to Biden and his ilk, who are not for reinstating the Hyde amendment. Want people to mind their own business but want their federal tax dollars to pay for abortions too?

That's a jaw-dropping contradiction if there ever was one. :icon_jawdrop:

Is that what is causing unwanted pregnancy? Or is it the abysmal ignorance surrounding contraception as shown by a very large number of so called “pro-life” posters on this forum?

And once again I have to post this

And a reminder - tying a knot in it is 100% effective

It is all they have - culture wars

Cannot argue the actual points so misrepresent them and then claim victory - classic strawman

Your rhetoric is exactly why the GOP continues to lose elections. The youth and Women in our Country, who by the way are the majority, don't believe a word of yours and the GOP's rhetoric. Unless your beloved party changes their policies to adapt to the times, they will continue to lose bigly.

13 percent fail rate on condoms? WUT?? do they have spiked penises?
I've used ones that were too small, too big, just right and never had one break.
I believe your chart but am a bit surprised by that specific one.

Some sites put it as high as 17% and yes THAT is the issue I am most concerned about. It means that out of every 100 women relying on the partner knowing which way up the condom goes on 13 will get pregnant. And what is the leading cause of abortion? Unwanted pregnancy. You want to reduce abortion make LARCs (Long Acting Reversible Contraception) affordable. Bloody sight cheaper solution than criminalising it.

    And then there is this
    upload_2023-2-17_8-36-56.jpeg

Stealthing - the deliberate misuse or sabotage of the condom. And yes women have been known to poke holes in the darn things too! But this is more common with men

Yes it is time limited (so why are so many insisting on a 6 week limit for legislation?) but when the question becomes “do you support abortion for fatal foetal abnormality, well, the support is near unanimous - and not tied to length of pregnancy
    upload_2023-2-17_8-53-22.png

That 1%? Overwhelmingly for fatal foetal abnormality

Equivalent to rape and yet this is not considered in the “blame game” that you constantly see here where women are being blamed for getting pregnant “because they had sex”

The abortion rate in the USA has been falling due to the availability of LARCs but since the majority of women seeking abortions live at or under the poverty line this is not within reach. Now let’s say a LARC will cost $500. What is cheaper - making them freely available or paying for the infrastructure around making abortion illegal?

Those who are insisting on a six week limit, (not so sure it's as you say, "so many"), but three months is what I've read that most would like to see as a reasonable cutoff mark. People generally see a need for terminating a pregnancy in cases of severe fetal abnormality or the life of the mother.

6 weeks is the legal limit in Texas and considering that a large number of natural abortions (miscarriages) happen after this time frame it does open up the possibility of women being charged under that act for miscarriage.

Women are already being charged for murder in cases of foetal loss

I don't think it's just national elections they need to worry about going forward. Democrats, especially younger ones, are finally getting wise to the value of State and local power.
