Pre-flight walk around...always got to check for FOD. Bird's nests in the engine cowling...that sort of stuff. Of course no one expects to see a 6 foot diamondback rattle snake who decided to take a nap in the shade, next to the airplane's tires and wheel chocks.
Here's a few more of mine (Scotland): The old bridge at Carrbridge: The road in to Glencoe: A tree (near Carrbridge!): Some highland cows:
And for a change of pace, a couple of festival photos: The crowd and stage (Def Leppard playing): Sunset over the arena:
And a few from Australia: The Bridge (Sydney, obviously!): Sydney from Taronga Zoo: The Blue Mountains: The rainforest at Dorrigo:
my dogs are much better trained...they wait till scraps are in the trash and then pull that trash all over living room.... for the christians out there: this is an old church i came across in fayetteville wv primitives chruches are what they are called: the red grout always give the impression of blood flowing down the wall:
That's not an old church. This is an old church (the church at Tintern Abbey, build in the late 13th Century, and ruined since the mid 16th century, after the dissolution of the monastaries): When it comes to photographic subjects, we are blessed in Wales with some of the most picturesque ruins in the world, most of which are castles. I'm sure my own photos (which were taken a few years ago now, with a camera that wasn't brilliant) don't even begin to do them justice! Carreg Cennen castle: Raglan castle: Caerphilly castle:
Mine, of course, wouldn't dream of stealing anything......not while we're looking, anyway! However, obviously some things just look tasty!:
love the pics of the really old churches...wow... sometimes spelling does count: and something light to start the day:
More from a spring break 2011 road trip to the Grand Canyon (taken before I had a slr.) At a pitstop somewhere near Amarillo, Texas: At the worst excuse for a cafe I've ever experienced in Santa Rosa, New Mexico: A mirage which nicely sums up our thoughts on this road trip at that point: Somewhere west of Albuquerque:
My wife's Peony flowers, I'm currently using one of these pics as my avatar. All of my avatars are pics from my property.
I've eaten there before, and I couldn't agree more! Interesting decor with overpriced bad food - a neat place to visit, but not to dine at. This is somewhere in Montana - near Miles City IIRC.
