...which needs to invest in street lights!

Wasn't a fun drive at night (from Montana) for someone with granny vision particularly when the navigation system went crazy and there's no lighting, lol.

    Nice shots Viv. :)

Some sort of larva crawling around on the aluminum siding yesterday. And, a moth which looks and flies a lot like a humming bird.

Nice pics. This is my neighborhood. :) I live about 5 miles from the waterfront.

Cumberland is amazing and yes the beach is almost always deserted. Sugary white sand, as far as the eye can see. Best kept secret in the South.

Not only did this little monster land on the hood of my truck, but he had the audacity to stand there while I'm eating my Big Mac and fries and squawk loudly and watch me eat - almost as if he's demanding that I feed him.

Then, when I relent and toss him the remainder of my lunch, he expresses his undying gratitude by defecating on the hood of my truck!

Jonathan Livingston Seagull my ass! Next time I find the little monster, I'll wring his neck! :D

I happened to have my camera with me one even early this spring to catch this shot of starlings swarming...there had to have been millions...a truly amazing phenomenon to observe.

These were taken this weekend at my favorite bar in an old mansion allegedly haunted by its original owner, hence the theme:

My husband was on fire too!

Fort Jefferson, where Dr. Samuel Mudd spent four years after being convicted of assisting John Wilkes Booth in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

If you've got anymore pictures of Fort Jefferson, I'd surely like to see them! :)

Thanks B! I may post more from Miami and Key West another day.

Yes! You are absolutely correct about Dr. Mudd...in some ways, this was the original Guantanamo Bay, lol! The ferry captain also pointed out the location of the Atocha, and one of the kids of the guy who discovered it had a ship out exploring that day.

I didn't spend a whole lot of time taking these photos, so the quality isn't terribly great but I had snorkeling to get on with!

My backyard swimming hole. It's one of the 12 springs that feeds the Wacissa River.

You need to go tubing on the Itchetucknee River which is a bit south and east of where you live. Your swimming hole reminds me of the Itchetucknee...:-D
