Shocking study reveals 72 per cent of French youngster want to leave France

I don't pretend that the USA is our ennemy or something like that. Far from it. I just consider that we belong to different civilizations even if we have a lot of common roots.

 

Europe has grown faster economically than the U.S. over the past thirty years. The Euro was the mistake they made and the southern countries like Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal are paying the price. Europeans tried to do too much, too soon, and they relied on Muslim, Asian, and African countries for cheap labor. Business controlled immigration.

Life is pretty good for most Europeans. They should be happy about their shared culture. Bringing in a lot of cheap labor was the mistake.

Europeans aren't Americans.

Certainly they're worth saving, not the argument, but it is disappearing into something else. I've lived and worked in France, beginning many years ago, and it's become a different country. Just ask the French people.

 

Last time I visited (my son played rugby there) the problem seemed to be that the younger generation didn't want the menial work in body shops ( my son's friend) or do work they considered beneath their social status. Of course this status was unearned and self appointed. That was just a slice of perspective from one small city but, like everywhere perhaps, the older generation was complaining.

They have many benefits and are accustomed to them. You may remember that a few years ago pilots went on strike for pensions, despite the money not being available. Social programs can quickly become rights.

 

People all over the world want to leave socialist countries and come to Anerica for freedom and opportunity. Makes you wonder why democrats here want to make America socialist.

 

Because they don't understand the difference between fantasy and reality, do not understand the nature of human beings, and only have a tenuous understanding of history. Their feelings always take precedence over facts.

 

I think the answer it pretty self evident. They see all the benefits the political elite in those nations enjoy, and they covet... They want their own version of Venezuela right here in the US.

 

Or feel that they'll benefit from the errors of previous socialist countries and not make the same mistakes. But of course these mistakes are inherent in the system.

@Josephwalker @drluggit @Fred C Dobbs As much as many french people are sad to see their country being deteriorated, I think however that the fact that most young french people want to leave France isn't a problem, it's rather good news.
The concerning fact is that 23 % want to leave France for good.

The rest is just the sign of a youth who want to see the world.

But globally, I will agree that multiculturalism, just another face of the marxist ideology is a disaster.

 

You're not getting the complete picture. It doesn't matter about 'liberal' Islam.

 

Business taxes are too high and labor costs are excessive because it's too difficult to get rid of unproductive workers. France is fixable in ways Italy and Spain are not.

 

They're far more protective of their culture and way of life than we are of ours. I predict they will put significant pressure on Muslims to adopt the French culture.

 

There is a more liberal Islam. That's the only one educated Muslims are interested in.

Capital is flowing to Asia and Africa and bypassing Muslim societites. The leaders of the Middle East Muslim countries know they're f**ked when the oil runs out. They know they have to change.

 

You don't get it. America is starting to come unglued because of economic inequality. If you think the average guy will stand still for gutting Social Security, Medicare, or even Obamacare, in the Paul Ryan guise of "saving them," you're smoking funny stuff.

Real wages are about what they were 40 years ago.
