Should Americans surrender to permissive firearm laws and increased mass shootings?

well let me guess based on my fifty years of dealing with gun banners. their cultural hatred of conservatives that was accentuated when groups like the NRA started mobilizing votes against liberals after the GCA of 68, is more important to them then the victims of crime being able to defend themselves. On top of that, I have found many gun banners actually sympathize with criminals and consider criminals to be the victims of an 'unjust' or 'racist' oppressive capitalistic system

what does unbridled hatred of Trump have to do with this thread other than suggesting that political weaponization of gun control is what motivates you-you apparently think most gun owners support Trump-you hate Trump and thus you want to punish gun owners mainly because you see them as Trump supporters

crime control has no relevance to this sort of attitude

 

in most states, anyone who engages in homicidal activity will die in prison as a result. The will of stupid people who want to violate our constitutional rights is not something to support or respect

It isn't about people dying. That's just used as emotional pleading. If you cared about people dying you'd support effective policing we know how to do that. You would support mental health most people who die from gunshot wound are suicide and most suicides are men. I bet you use incel as an insult and hate those people.

Criminals and terrorists believe we need guns to protect us from our government. I do not.

 

Criminals and terrorists have an obvious reason to fear the government, so that makes sense. They don't want to get locked up, of get a needle in the arm.

 

I’m not sure exactly what that means, but I don’t find it in the Constitution.

 

In your humble opinion. I’m pretty sure the Founders would have thought otherwise, even today.

Of course they wouldn’t understand how our government has become so lopsidedly favorable to the wealthy few. Or that with all our unimaginable wealth we do so little good for the needy. They certainly wouldn’t understand the lack of knowledge of most Americans about firearms, how to store them and handle them safely. Or why States haven’t taken steps to ensure gun owners know how to use them responsibly BEFORE being allowed to own them.


They wouldn’t understand why we don’t do more, proactively, to protect our children, wives and loved one’s from gun violence without infringing on the right of Americans to own guns. They wouldn’t, couldn’t fathom that gun rights advocates think that mutually exclusive.
