A muslim woman was beheaded by her husband in Afghanistan some time ago for going shopping

Another reason suicide is unlikely is the bodies suffered no trauma that is associated with a jumper. Whoever killed them wanted them to suffer before they died.

Embassy after they had applied for political asylum

This is what I was thinking, however suicide is "Harum" in Islam, unless it is done for Jihad.

 

The police report says they were alive, not conscious, There seems no indication they were tortured either.

I hope they find out who did this and give them the death penalty they so richly deserve. I also truly hope this doesn't end up being done for some political reason

 

Honor killings, and the Islamic reasons for them, have always been hushed up, maybe now, with Saudi Arabia in the news, some Islamic reality may come out.

 

I wonder if suicide is forbidden if you have to pressure someone , like a younger woman or a mentally ill person, to kill himself?

I find it likely this was a SA hit to send a message to someone now that they have pulled off the murder of a U.S. resident with no repercussion. Obviously to the Saudis we have become a wet paper tiger and they can now do as they please as long as our President gets their money.

The younger of the two,Tala the sixteen year old, was in school in Virginia, the older 22 year old woman was a resident of New York. The younger sister traveled to NY to be with her sister Rotana there. They both stopped contacting their mother while in NY.

These two had a history of disappearing. According to the New York Times, both Tala and Rotana were reported missing in 2017 from Virginia. I have to agree with another comment that believes this was a double suicide. I am only guessing that they had a tumultuous relationship with their parents who migrated from Saudi Arabia in 2015.

I can understand the duct tape around their ankles and waist, they could have done that themselves in order to assure that they would perish together, a death pact that wouldn't fail.

There are way too many facts that need to come out before I can believe this is a suicide. The lengths the Saudi's go through to kill their own people are vast.

Okay...I'm asking for your sources that the police don't have. Right now, they think it could be a suicide. Though I agree that would be a weird suicide...their lifestyles suggest it's a possibility.

Check the date from which their deaths happened.
